Promote all those Homeless to come to Bakersfield, CA there are very good benefits for the Homeless here, just make 300 fliers and hand out to them, by the way rents out here are $600 dollars a month form one bedroom studios, and weather should not be an issue for anyone that lives on a budget, Homeless live for free, there are homes free of charge off of baker street for them, and your city will be cleaned out of the Homeless by their own at will, They haven't come because they are unaware of the benefits. I'm not trying to be funny, this is serious. I've lived here over 30 years.

Even if you give them housing, they will simply destroy it because they are addicts, and they cannot live in organized manner. Sadly, nowadays street homeless are drugs addicts, and they are addicted to cocktail of nasty chemicals such as fentanyl, horse tranquilizer, elephant tranquilizer, sedative benzo, rat poison, nitazenes chemicals, P2P based meth, wasp dope, and other nasty stuff. That is in the pills they smoke all day long. They are quickly damaged mentally and physically beyond the point of repair. If they are aggressive, screaming, talking gibberish, talking to imaginary people, they are on meth and wasp dope. One dosage of P2P based meth causes paranoia and schizophrenia after only one dosage.

The Democrats are worthless and are nothing more then criminal con artists of the highest order. They serve money and their real global elite's agenda. They have plenty of money for non stop wars and have open borders which will add to homelessness and cause prices to go up on housing and everything else we compete for. The only winners are the corporations who get super cheap slave labor and the Democratic voter base will grow due to free handouts. The Democrats have had plenty of time to deal with this crisis. They are all liars.

I'm just offering a permanent solution for you folks out there in Long Beach or other places, we don't mind them out here, there are to facilities they check into one, on Baker Street and the other one is on Edison highway, they both offer commodities such as beds and food for free unlimited stay. And for others that love the beutiful outdoors, they are allowed to live out on the sidewalks. The big free brochure laying out the benefits out here, they may just hitch ride out here.

Those states will not hesitate to arrest a homeless person who commits a crime and take them to jail as they should. So homeless people from those states will move to California, a place where a homeless person can commit as much crime as they want and not get punished for it. Not only that but they are also given all types of privileges such as free supply of needles and whatever else they want. California is a homeless person's paradise. These are human beings, many that have fallen on hard times, others that need mental health services or rehab and a chance to get on their feet again. They are not going to disappear like everyone’s been waiting for for the decades that I’ve lived in this county. Some people probably do move to California but most are native people who have seen the cost of living skyrocket while inflation has increased in the middle of the worst drug epidemic the country has ever seen. It is directly a cost of living problem as we know most americans do not have saving, live in debt, and many do not have stable job situations as most service jobs do not offer benefits. One single injury, getting fired, getting eviction can lead to temporary homelessness which increases the chances of victimization and addiction which just exacerbates the issue. 60% of the nation has no college education either, which limits what people can do as they age.

Declaring an emergency translates to asking for state money without a plan. What needs to happen is state funded facilities be in place to house and care for the legitimate mentally ill population. They should not be unhoused roaming about and ignored. As for the addicts choosing to live on the street and refusing services, simply stop supporting and enabling them. Enforce city ordinance and prohibit camping on sidewalks / parks etc. There was a time in very recent history when you could not survive on the street for lack of resources. And during that time this problem was not as widespread as it is today. This is a harsh analogy, but if you replenish a supply of birdseed year round you should expect birds to congregate and thier population to increase. This is about resources. In those cities where both resources and drugs are prevalent that is where the highest population of persons living in tents on the street will be.

Promote all those Homeless to come to Bakersfield, CA there are very good benefits for the Homeless here, just make 300 fliers and take some time from your schedule to hand out to them, by the way rents out here are $600 dollars a month for a one bedroom studio, and weather should not be an issue for anyone that lives on a budget, Homeless live for free, there are homes free of charge off of baker street for them, and your city will be cleaned out of the Homeless at will, They haven't come because they are unaware of the benefits, and some have never heard of Bakersfield, and every one here Homeless friendly. I'm not trying to be funny, this is serious. I've lived here for over 30 years.

I have wondered how many of these homeless were caused or happened when people did not have to pay rent during the pandemic and then were kicked out after not having money to pay because of either loosing their job or just not wanting to work. I know their are some that are getting hooked on fentenal aka (blues) that are now on the streets because of their choices to do drugs, but others are their because of the rent issues. Well anyways always plan ahead because you never know what life will throw at you, but 100% make life the most fun you can because you only get it once.

@jakemarlow8998

@@karenmbbaxter The first suggestion is to acknowledge the truth: the overwhelming majority of today's homeless are drug addicts and/or mentally ill. The big lie is that it's due to the high cost of housing. Once politicians acknowledge the truth, then the taxpayers' money should go to drug treatment and psychological assistance. Simply "housing the homeless" is throwing money away. It won't work unless you first fix the underlying problem.

What we need is a location apportioned as an official shelter. LA may need two or more of these (e.g. north/south) if it expands it to LA county. These shelters would temporarily house and transition the homeless back into working society, and separate those with mental issues into a separate facility for long-term or permanent treatment. This shelter can be located in an out of the way part of the town, and manned by specially trained staff that can provide a limited medical and mental healthy support and treatment. All contracts limited and continuous should go to small businesses ONLY. That way, it helps to prevent the greed and corruption, and a large portion of our local, state, and federal tax dollars, contributions, and donation don't end up in the hands of the wealthy, as is presently the case. This shelter would also needs an Independent Review Board (with authority) to evaluate and determine the validity of malfeasance and complaints from the occupant so that no person is ever neglected or treated with prejudice or unfairly. Our continued "see no evil" is not going to make this problem go away on its own; and allowing so many people to continue to live on the street in a metropolis overflowing with wealth is an example of a major failure in the structure of civilization and modern societies in the U.S..

What most people do not understand is this. HOMELESS PEOPLE HAVE NO PRIVACY NO BATHROOM TO GO TO THE BATHROOM OR TAKE A BATH MAKES THEM DIRTY... THEY DO NOT HAVE MONEY FOR FOOD AND MEDICINE... THEY DO NOT HAVE ANYONE THAT CARES ABOUT THEM. FAMILY HAS ALREADY STOPPED HELPING THEM... THEY DONT HAVE A BED OR A PLACE TO GET SLEEP. WHEN YOU DONT LET THEM DO THESE THINGS IN A Restaurant OR STORE THEY DO IT ON THE SIDEWALKS. some times they don't get to sleep for days. And then they look drunk because they are TIRED. They have no washing machine to wash clothes and do they have to wear dirty clothes no money to buy clothes. If you do not have respect for someone that needs help then GOD HELP YOU your gonna need it when you go home to the Lord you might not get to. So stop being so judgemental and help them in ways that will help them.

Unfortunately homelessness it's not only a problem in Long Beach but it's also in san Bernardino Riverside it's all over the place. Personally I feel that until the drug trafficking, human trafficking, is under control as well as inflation, rent control, Jobs maybe even more so for the unskilled because how can I get skills if every place requires a skill, job training, social skills and education need to be more readily available. People have to want to be off of the street people have to want a better life for themselves before anyone is able to successfully help them. Otherwise the problem will never be resolved it will just continue to go from city to city, county to county and state to state. When they use all resources from one area they just move onto the next.

One dosage of P2P based meth causes paranoia and schizophrenia after only one dosage
