I was just at Long Beach today. Great place to visit. I was in the Arts in the Plaza where there's vendors selling their merchandise and music performances to enjoy 😉 💕. Video felt that I was still there. You captured every moment.

I went to long beach about 5 years ago and it was good to visit during the hot summer. The pizza looks yummy! I really love sicilian pizza.

Grew up on the west end of Long Beach, NY during the summers love it out there! the winter can be very dead though and super cold but the vibes during the summer is the best...especially block parties

I grew up in loung beach 🏖 and it’s the best place to grow up in and yes the bordwalk was damaged in Heracane sandy

I used to live there! I grew up in the next town over, in IslandPark. I lived in Long Beach in my adult years. I worked there too. My commute would be riding my bike on the board walk. Glad you got to check out the West End to get donuts. I’m in California now in search for another beach town I can connect with. Even in the dead of winter it’s still beautiful there. Have you ever seen a snow covered beach?

I can imagine that it would be very nice during the winter. Maybe I'll make a trip up there during the season. I used to live in Chicago which had beaches along Lake Michigan, but none of them could compare to Long Beach. I was very pleased with just how nice Long Beach was and the city as a whole.

In the 70’s we surfed LB a lot. In the summer they started charging access . We’d drive down and look at the wave situation from the boardwalk. We’d walk down the boardwalk a bit from the entrance area, lower our surfboards down and then jump down. One time a teen who was working for the city, tried to stop us. We jumped and walked to the surf and he couldn’t follow us into the water. $15 admission? That’s high. If it were a reasonable $5 they would have a lot more people and commerce. Family of 4 go to the beach and it’s $45 just to get in, add travel, some food, maybe ice cream and it’s a $150 trip. LB is gouging.

That's a nice story! Yeah, I do think the price is too high. The beach in Long Branch, NJ is only five bucks to access. Still, I do think Long Beach is a great place!

Pizza and donuts, dough diet, lunch of champions. Simple things, train, sand, sun, water, walk, lunch, dessert, head back home.

short answer: yes houses out there were bungalow summer rentals, then people started to live there all year long. Homes there can be tiny and very pricey. I'd say in standard most homes are around $600,000+ around $3,000+/month. Near the bay and along the beaches, homes are around 1M+. Beach location and near the city....its expected to be pricey but otherwise very nice family friendly place to live.
