I want to say thank you to everyone as we wrap up Long Haul. Unfortunately, there will not be a tier list following this video like we normally do, however I am excited to announce a couple of new things. - There will be a 0.96 colony guide coming out pretty soon. It will cover the lessons learned and how best to colonize. - A new entirely combat focused let's play (this series will be the combat tutorial equivalent of what Long Haul was to trade and colonization.) - A plan to remake all of the tutorials with better mic quality and more accurate information. (bear with me though as this one will take a while) The save file is going up on the discord channel discord.com/channels/934995272029859840/954610298331992065, and the seed is MS-7916325602356481836 if you want to play along without the save. RIP to the Kanta Battlestation. Nice man. Pather bases are like that, but with a full fleet behind them. I'm using a legion with daggers on my playthrough. Is my flagship. I go barreling into the enemy lines with it, with the rest of my fleet on escort. Splits the line really hard, and when anything bigger than a destroyer gets near, daggers get the engage order and often one shot. Love it! Can't wait to see you showcase the new ships!

Thanks for the series! It was an interesting, alternative approach to playing the game! Looking forward to seeing what you can do with a real war fleet!

I have destabilized one of the core pirate bases to the point where their world became decivilized and the base vanished. I can't image that the game would allow this to happen for Kanta as they play a roll in the story. Makes me wonder though. Another cool series under the belt. 😁👍

Great series. As a newer player, you touching on so m ay non-combat related aspects was very helpful to follow and learn from. Excited for next series to jump into more combat and see what else I can learn!

Thanks for a great series. Picked starsector up about a month ago and it's been my go to game since. It was great finding your channel, especially as a fellow PoE enjoyer. I've been watching a lot of your starsector content over the last few weeks and really enjoyed it a lot, especially silent knights, so very much looking forward to this next combat-focused playthrough you've teased 😄 Thanks again for the awsome content

There is a screen where you can see at once what ships you have stored at what colony. I believe its on the screen displaying all four colonies. Have you any idea whats next? I would love to see an out of sector faction force arriving in the area with a few advanced ships of all sizes from that faction and be determined to eliminate or totally destabilize the pirates and Luddic Path while trying to build a good rapport with the others. You can use their ships as part of your force but you can only command directly from your faction ships...even if it means yours get destroyed or damaged so bad you cannot fight.

Oh I have several ideas. there's one series I really want to do, but it relies heavily on mods and I'm not exactly sure how to set that up

Can you do a new series where you try a new play style, so instead of high DPS to overwhelm the enemy something different, e.g., a carrier only playthrough (so no battle carriers like the Legion)?

Enjoyed the series quite a bit, always do because there are very few people on youtube who do vanilla playthroughs and by no means do i mean mods are bad but when they alter the game so much the original game is barely recognizable then yeah its mostly fun for the person who is playing it. I've already said my piece regarding the hostile activity but here we go again because it got me triggered :3c: - colonization is dragged out; by the time you reach the point of production of good quality stuff as well as making money you could've reached that point sooner without a colony just by playing in the core worlds, playing for factions and buying stuff there, which is a lot less hassle, cheaper and faster. im sure colonization will get some sort of end game stuff to it but currently i dislike this hostile activity thing - its a huge money sink, duh!? well as obvious as it sounds you are sinking money into no return for a very very long time, again apart from some storage and eventual profit/production you are not getting much, by erecting arbitrary walls to make it even longer its further devalued - AI cores and special items are losing their place in the game: just check the screen at the end where your colonies are visible, you have barely anything equipped to keep the hostile bar down - paying for low hostile activity: again you are already sinking a lot of credits into it, paying off the pirates and the luddic path is just even more credits, your experience just shows how brutal it is too Anyways I'm just rambling, looking forward to your combat focused let's play! Hope it's soon I'm bored ;~;
