I didn't know that. And yeah, that is sad. Now that I think about it, there's a lot society has generally wisened up to not laugh at, especially so publicly. Weight, blindness, deafness, born with a deformity, having different skin color (including rare pigmentation), hair loss, etc. . But being very short, especially as an adult male, isn't something that gets talked about. It makes sense which brings up a further dark truth, that we as a society generally expect, and even encourage, unapologetic hyper-competitiveness between males in order to get respect and admiration not only from both males and females.
