NOTE- I thought Lot 20 was sweeter and also had just a little less anise, with less vegatable notes and olive brine as well. I also thought it was more buttery, and did like it a bit more, and lot 20 took longer to open up to notice these differences. These blind tastings are fun and remember, 'blind is the only way to see'

Love all the information snd knowledge you share, a little jealous all the access available to you, however the hunt for the good stuff is part of the fun. Finding a Fortaleza, or Corillo, or G4, Tapatio, is like hitting a jackpot when I come across it!!!

Thank you buddy. I love Fortaleza, and these privately grown agaves from G's property, really do taste a little different. It's mostly in the aromas for sure. Yeah I told Angie that is a normal pour, dont tell her... hahaha

This is the way to do it right here! I found that my bottle of lote 20 was a little more sweet and missing some of those olive brine / vegetal notes from my bottle of still strength lote 12. I love a clean, sweet blanco so the 20 was the winner for me. Cheers Lou!

I really have no idea when you could expect to see it in your area. That would be almost impossible to predict. I understand they're starting to come back out again in a lot of areas, although I haven't seen any in my area. They are making a new distillery, I believe across the street, and they say they're going to make it with the quality. We will be hoping for the best.

Lou, I have to say I really love and appreciate your approach on your videos, as well as your content overall. Your passion for Tequila truly shines through. It is because of my admiration and respect for you and your work that I wanted to share some advise I received a long time ago on how to properly pronounce the flavor note of ANISE (ANIS) in Spanish. Unlike ANEJO, where there is an accent over the "N," for emphasis, ANIS has an accent over the "I", and is pronounced AH-NIECE. As an American, growing up I would of course say it the American way ANN-NIS. But being around many Spanish speakers I was taught the Spanish way of saying it is... AH-NIECE. The reason I am even bringing this up, is because I shared several videos of yours to some other tequila loving friends, and they asked me what is the ON-YEAST note you are describing. I have gotten used to the way you say it, so I know what you mean, but my Spanish speaking friends were actually confused and thought you were referring to something else they didn't know about. It is a flavor note you use to describe many tequilas, and I am sure many didn't have the heart to tell you, but as fan who respects you, I just wanted you to know the correct way of say it (in Spanish) and to eliminate other people's confusion. Thank you for sharing your Tequila experiences and knowledge with all of us. Your excitement for the spirit is contagious.

Oh yeah, well there's a little store up on 25a (701 Fort Salonga Road) Northport Liquor and Wine - they have Fortaleza, Ocho, ET and maybe a few other good ones if you're interested

I can barely find a bottle to replace my current bottle. Any tips on finding different lotes?

I would go online to Old Town or somewhere, and call and ask what lot it will be. I also look at store lots when I see them, but you really don't know what lots are better when they're first coming out. I find that all Fortaleza is good overall, so I don't normally go crazy looking for certain lots. The special lots that I have, I have won in auctions and raffles on Facebook, and that would be my recommendation for those.

Not that I know of. Fortaleza is very hard to find, if at all. When they come out on shelves, which I hear they do occasionally, they sell out immediately. I also hear of stores holding product secretly for certain customers only. Unfortunately it's come to this
