On my recent visit, it was recommended I visit The Wine Cellar in Oceanside. They had a very nice selection of additive free tequilas, albeit not a very large selection, but more than sufficient. But, I plan on visiting Halcyon for sure.

Great tour, Lou! NY is far, FAR different than Arkansas, which, while having over half its counties being completely dry, has a single distributor for the entire state, which is pitiful. No competition leads to a distributor who does what he wants - with the help of the state, of course. This selection is unheard of, even in Texas at the largest Total Wines or Spec's in a city like Austin, where I've never seen better selections in all of Austin. Arkansas is still in the 1940's, as if it's just after prohibition, and it's amazing how few liquor stores know much about additive-free and 'made the old way' tequilas. Just this past year, one of the best stores in LIttle Rock - Colonial Wine and Spirits - put up a dedicated set of shelves for additive free tequilas. Just this last year. I would say they keep maybe 3 dozen varieties on these shelves, and the prices are actually reasonable. I visit a shop in North Arkansas and the owner says he will bring somethign in if I don't see it, but the cost! Oh, my! It's so parochial and so biased to the distributor that it's disgusting. I drive to Missouri to do much of my shopping and to heck with Arkansas. I know they don't care, but AR has some of the highest liquor taxes in the country, whereas Missouri has some of the lowest. And a MUCH larger variety. And now it's looking like AR is going to legalize marijuana? What a joke. They'll let you buy pot but give you crap to drink as your punishment. They have been stuck with a single distributor for the entire state for over 50 years now! It just makes me shake my head, Lou.

Liquor and Wine Warehouse in Island Park has a really nice selection. Thats our go to.

@berkeley223 - well I have every tequila at home, that was in that store, and they're all top quality, so it's hard to answer that question. Of course the Cascahuin Cerro De Luz, and Anniversario, and things like that are always near the top.
