I am so very sorry to hear this. You and your husband’s situation at this time strikes so close to home as my father just passed away last week and wanted you to know how wonderful a person you are. It was very hard for us as we refused to cry in front of him bc he was unaware of the gravity of the situation, the aetiology of his primary cancer was Left lung small cell carcinoma which then metastasized to two very large brain mets. We did not know until the last 3 months and after it was discovered to be inoperable and he was just unfortunately too far gone to do the whole immuno/radio therapy thing, which we did attempt but was just unable to really even get to his appts. so my mother, sister, my brother and sister-in-law, and myself sat with him, 24H/day and cared for him vigilantly. He lasted 90 days with home hospice and it was 3 of the best months our family ever spent together: watching old war movies, laughing and telling stories, making really good food or buying things like salteñas which come from Bolivia so had to go to the Bolivian Bakery, looked at old photos and relived a lot of memories like when we went to Death Valley or Alaska, etc…, etc…. I can say that we made those last 90 days with my Daddy so filled with happiness, laughter, and love. I will never forget how happy Dad looked and how much he smiled and laughed many times throughout every day. After it was all done, I cried like a baby and am still but feel like it is ok now and very normal. I wish your husband, you, and your family and loved ones the same warm moments filled with happiness at just being in each others presence, the security at being able to be one’s self in front of family and friends and loved and defended anyway, and the profound knowing that existence, knowledge, energy, and love are eternal. We carry this with us as we enter into the next aspect of our own existence. I know this bc I still feel my father, as well as my best friend, and even pets and this thought comforts me. I wish our Heavenly Father’s blessings upon your husband and you, his most devoted wife. God bless you now during this very challenging time and always.

I never knew how sweet and adorable and loving Frenchies were until my mom bought one last year. I'm 42 and my parents live with me at my place so I see their Frenchie, Toby, everyday. From day 1 he has been my very best friend in the entire world. I've been close to pets before but this is like my soul mate buddy for life level. They are literally unable to do anything that is not completely adorable.
