Worldwide; great review. I couldn't agree with you more, getting rid of the lip on the front of the darts definitely extends the life of your flights and reduces crazy deflections. Mainly due to your constant reminders on your videos , I've installed specialty points or trident 180's on almost all of my dart sets. Thanks and keep the videos rolling. Have a good Thanksgiving.

I love this 'new' product videos by WWD. I play with longer points and always wondered why they didn't make longer specialty points. Thank you WWD for keeping us up to date on the latest and greatest dart products, even the ones from the small companies.

I have purchased some darts from them with the longer points already installed. Quality darts and points IMHO.

I personally love Yaoyeah darts and especially his long point offerings. I also had trouble connecting with him back when you did the Sloth review. I tried several times and gave up. Then many months later I tried again and he got back with me. I bought the Onyx Sloth in 22g and got 38mm black points on them. He installed the points for me which was great. Really love the darts and the points. Well worth the wait in my opinion.

Hey WWD: another great vid and another great review as usual! You are once again "spot on" in your reference to the longer points will have an impact on balance of your dart, depending on which barrel length you are using (also in combination with length of flight stem, ie; short, intermediate or standard. For the majority of dart barrels that I have or that I use to throw with, only the 30mm or 32mm work well for my set up (usually the Target Swiss Storm Nano). Keep the vids coming and Happy Turkey Day!

Hi there I use 66mm Darts clearance points on my RD Slipstream darts. I couldn't manage to throw them properly, and when i ordered at Darts Clearance, i saw those Frankenpoints. I did order them as a joke, but now the centre of mass shifted so much to the front, that i actually can throw them properly. And as a Bonus: If you throw them, it feels as if you were one step closer to the board. Its legal cheating 🙂.
@WorldwideDarts20 күн бұрын
Wait until you see the darts i specially designed to be used with 66mm points. Like you said... it's like having a cheat code 😁

another good option for folks looking for longer specialty points is perfect nine darts. they sell 28, 34 and 40mm showing tapered points called "alpha points". grip isn't ideal for my liking, and I find the steel a bit soft, but still definitely worth checking out
@alexandercook228120 күн бұрын
I've been using these in 40mm for a few months, I don't have any reason to think they're soft as yet. What happened to yours, got me worried now?
@gon4alo20 күн бұрын
@alexandercook2281 I wouldn't say it's a real reason for concern, but my setup is outside on my balcony where it's just concrete floor. I've noticed the very tip of the points become slightly bent after bounce outs and falling straight down, whereas I've never seen that with any other point.
@alexandercook228120 күн бұрын
@@gon4alo Ok thanks understood. Guess they've got a little more of that thinner, pointed front, like some of the Red Dragon specialty points, more than a traditional rounded shape, maybe that plays in to it. I don't risk my Sunday bests over floors like that, leave that to the old pub darts 😅

Some of my favorite points. Glad to see you got a set of those semi-reflex points. Those things are gnarly if they fit right. I had to grip them up by the cuff, with a small piece of paper towel to keep it from getting knicked up. I have them in some a DC set. Just throw so different to me. Spike points have been my favorite from YaoYeah though, those were the ones I included with that first set of Tornado I sent you back then. I need to get my hands on those YP2, those look really nice.

I will add though, most times **through facebook** I have little issue getting response from Jason. Especially when it comes to shipping & tracking. Initial communication is sometimes a little slow, but I always factor in time zones & all that.

Great and informative video…as usual! Been considering repointing with Target Storm points, so may need to have a look at these. Question…what repointing tool do you recommend? We don’t really have a true dart shop in Austin, so will need to buy a tool and respect your recommendations.

speciality points seem to be a bit heavier than traditional ones ( SP for sure) so they won't suit everyone. Sometimes it's worth destroying a few sets of flights to find the right ones :) best regards

I am a beginner in darts, only played for 4 month. But I wonder when there are machinery on special points. Won't they also ruin flights and create strange deflections?
@WorldwideDarts18 күн бұрын
The Rapier might cause a slight issue as the finger grip is sharp but it's the lip on the front of the barrel that would cause 95% of the issues
