There's an old saying: "Don't mourn that it's over, celebrate that it happened". That's just what we did. We weren't mourning, we were celebrating that we had this band, that they were ours.

It's obvious to me watching this whole documentary that the love is all around Gord and the band and that there is a sixth full member: the audience! What a wonderful journey in their music and all kind of emotions Thank you...

It was a joy to watch you view our band on their final journey. I was in attendance at their final Hamilton show (Aug 16) and was also in the arena for the Kingston show. The emotions in the arena was unreal. I have been a lifelong Hip fan, met them a few times and listened to them constantly. My best friend was the person who brought the Canada flag that circulated the arena and covered my car at our KOA campsite the day before as we prepped for the show. I will never forget that show and the feelings that I had and continue to have. Every time I watch it, I get tears in my eyes. What a special band and what a special man. Thanks for sharing

I'm Canadian. I lived in New Hampshire for the last show in Kingston. I sat at home and watched and wept and missed home (Canada)😢

To realize the scope of the night the final concert was played, I think you had to be in Canada. Everyone I know watched that show. You’re right Rory. It was a night of celebrating Gord. I watched it in a packed bar. We almost drove to Kingston to join the street party. If we weren’t so loaded we would have done it. It was a coast to coast party.

After this final HIP tour, Gord also did one last national television interview with Peter Mansbridge where he discussed everything including his terminal condition, and also his last project called 'The Secret Path' which includes an album/book/animated documentary and live solo performances. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2aUdIOGos6hmK8 After 'The Secret Path' solo performances, Gord was then honoured by the Assembly of First Nations in 2016 with a Lakota spirit name, Wicapi Omani, which translates to "Man Who Walks Among The Stars," along with an eagle feather / star blanket ceremony for his work that spotlighted the horrific impact of the 'Residential School' government system. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iaC6g4xvfLeHpbM Thanks so much for reacting to The HIP Rory!! You're a musical troubadour!

For the Brits watching. When Gord says Bobby Or called him. And Gord told him that he loved him. Any Canadian man or woman wouldve said that. Bobby is is a legend. He is one of the Greatest Hockey Players to ever live.

Bobby Orr was to a previous generation of Canadians what David Beckham was to a latter generation of Britons.

I don’t think it’s that clear from the documentary, the 'blocking' of the stage was significant, they opened standing very close to each other, together as a unit and tight together as they had played in their earlier days on tiny dive bar stages. The lighting is restricted to the small portion of the stage they are on, later as the show continued the lighting and blocking expanded, with the team spread across a huge stage, there were a couple of changes like that. It was almost as if whatever stage of their careers you may have discovered them at, there they were as you remembered them.

Tyrant, eh? This dude feeds on Rupert Murdoch. 🙄

Dude Trudeau is the worst PM ever. Hands down without any political bias. Completely over his head and way over confident in his ability. Terrible combination.

Yes he did turn out to be a tyrant. And he didn't keep his promise to Gord.

Trudy is a serial promise breaker. Typical virtue signaller that tells people what they want to hear to be accepted. Pathetic unaware and oblivious would describe JT. if he had one ounce of integrity he would never have accepted the invite to lead when he is completely out of his league,
