I liked the torque it had with the stock weights in her she pulled harder.
@reggiexp695 жыл бұрын
stock weight heaver? so more direct power but less high speed. lower weight later power but more top speed...
@jefflarson41175 жыл бұрын
I agree. It seems to be in the motors torque curve with the stock wieghts and probably more fun to drive off road. With a flexy front that would be a bad ass rock crawler. Great job you inspire me.😀
@rhinorider73285 жыл бұрын
Hey dude you are getting there the lighter weights are only keeping it like in a lower gear ratio longer its not stalling it you need stiffer springs to make it stall more bro but im proud to see you are way ahead of some of the other people i see doing stuff like that im about to start building a buggy like that in a few months for my son im gonna use a 700 king quad engine an make it 4x4 so he can go where we go on sxs

To help the clutch slipping get a stiffer secondary spring. It will drop your rpms a little bit to get her in the sweet spot and it will really help the slipping

I use to have a little buggy similar to this, 250cc though. I put a performance clutch on and put the weights in for more top speed, ported and polished head, bigger carb, and exhaust. I don't remember what brand of clutch and the exact weights I used but I would definitely recommend the weights for more top speed instead of acceleration especially with the engine you have in yours. You might loose a little acceleration right off the line but really makes it feel faster out of a corner and pretty much everywhere except from a dead stop. Cool build!

They used those old Chain Tensioners on the old XR250R, and XR400 and so on. Those type of tensioners been around for a long time. Also BE CAREFUL with some of those CVT Variator Clutches, some of them have a very Powerful large spring inside of them that if you take off the large Nut have been known to cause really bad trauma. Great stuff bud!

As someone else said, u need stiffer springs in the primary clutch! Ths is how u adjust the engagement rpm and allow it to rev up a bit more before engagement, it'll launch way harder also!!

Yeah you definitely need heavier weights in that clutch man as you said and can see it was slipping. The stock was engaging too soon not allowing your potential rpm while these are letting you tev its not grabbing like it should . As you said meet in the middle. The light ones i think you said was 41g idk what the stock ones are but meet in-between those 2 and youll have it dialed in 💯. Great video as i like watxhinf your builds it reminds me of what i did when i was younger and had extra money 👍

Straight pipe idles like a Harley and sounds like a dragster on ripp. You should take this bad boy to CarsandCameras' mini mayhem event in North Carolina. @BillBogan5 жыл бұрын
That thing is mean, looks great. That engine has a ton of low end torque, stock weights look like they work better. I would try going heavier, making acceleration more aggressive and reaching top gear faster. I guess just make sure the torque converter uses it's full range at both ends. Good job!
@tshupp725 жыл бұрын
Excellant built ... get the front done before you go turbo. Also I would have kept the 26 in on to get that power to the ground better. ....get some limiter straps for suspension as well ...okay I'm done ...super Impressed
