Great hunting story, Robert. One question regarding your Sunset Hill Bow: It looks like your grip on that bow is slightly dished. If so, about how deep is the valley in the middle, from a straight line is it? The reason I asked is I am modifying my Northern Mist Classic straight grip a little bit, and I think I want a slightly dished grip.

It's about 1/8. I have been shooting straight grips but I think I like this kind more.

Great story Robert! Can't wait for Turkey season! Have a question? I have a chance to get a northern mist Sheldon ASL longbow but it's 68in 56@28 I'm only 5.4 tall and have a 24.5 /25in drawl length. Do you think it would proform good at 25in it's green on the back and white on the belly side. Not sure if I like the white! What do you think? It's bamboo core. Thanks for your video's. George

I think it's a fine bow but you would like a 66" long better.

I started with shotgun, no blind, then went to compound no blind and will never go back. I'm still working on recurve because when I get that down so I'm 100% confident of a kill shot that's where I want to be. Absolutely nothing like it. Only one thing matters with the bird, they can't smell, most sounds doesn't matter, what they see doesn't matter, but any movement at all and your done. Two last year with a bow at 12 feet in a field of 4 inch grass no blind. Like I say, movement is all that matters. That was my best hunt to date.

I've not killed many but all of them are pretty memorable I've killed 2 with compound during bow season one of my best memories was one day during archery season I had 5 deer and about 8 turkey around me finally after getting several starr downs i got drawn back and shot only to miss but that was so crazy on public land have no idea why they were all there feeding on something no oak around no feed that i could tell

Years ago i killed 2 with compound and no blind. I have shot one with a self bow with no blind but it ran off with my arrow and i never found it. I havnt tried with a stick bow for years.
