I have endured chronic insomnia and day-night “shift work syndrome, and inversion of my circadian rhythm most of my life. Many years of training in and practicing emergency medicine also contributed to my insomnia. Years of training and practicing emergency medicine further exacerbated my condition. I am familiar with Netra Yoga sutras 🕉️, But I have found your readings of these Buddhist ☸️sleep sutras to be very helpful on most nights 😴 Thank you SJ for you beautifully calming voice set to tranquil music 🙏☸️

Thank you so much I’ve had issues sleeping since I went through puberty. Meditation and yoga have made it a little more consistent but it’s still a bit of a struggle for me to get to sleep once I’m asleep all is well and I rarely dream but sometimes I lay awake for quite sometime before I’m able to finally doze off…

Try this if you want, works for me. Starting with toes work you way up the body saying " being toes" "being heels" etc. You will probably be asleep before you get to the head and brain. Either way it works wonders for health.

There is no "my mind" John - it is karmic tendencies playing themselves out in the realm of the pristine Awareness - the Source itself. Like clouds floating in the empty sky, they have no substance, no 'owner', and in absolute truth no inherent Reality. They arise from nowhere, form, and then dissolve - nowhere. If we approach thoughts in this way then they lose their power and potency.
