I myself don't do takebacks unless its clearly a mouseslip. I've had many opponents ask for a takeback because they made a bad move and they realize it a few seconds later but I hit the deny button... and then when they get pissy I tell them if they want takebacks to play casual and not rated. (*Then they usually tell me how bad I am, I suck, yadda yadda yadda, and I have to remind them who's begging for a takeback.) TBF I would have given xTrillBeats the benefit of the doubt that he mouseslipped, could have tried to centralize his king starting with Kf2 but gone Kf3 on accident... especially as he was kind enough to give a takeback when he really didn't have to (my take on rated games is there should be no takebacks period, if one is given its purely out of the kindness of my heart and it usually beats kool-aid.)

I like the "request move back" button in lichess for that kind of mistakes: moves that are really mouse sleeps. For example, moving a rook to take another rook on the other side of the board and the rook falls in the previous square next to the other rook. Or you try to castle and the King stays in the next square to it. I always accept moving back that kind of mistakes. Great game! thanks!

Trillbeats, this guy was a fantastic gentleman showing mercy on the queen slip. What a nice change compared to the terrible India-based Stockfish cheaters we had on here before. Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside, what a nice person!

Rating change to 2400+ is probably because you played in pro chess league and they may have adjusted your long time control rating manually
@danrenauer52845 жыл бұрын
It also could be that someone he had lost to on one of these long play videos in the past was caught for cheating and had his account closed. I've had my rating go up based on that in the daily chess.com play. I'm not sure about live chess though?

Hello Simon, I have the Black Lion DayVayDee, and love it, I play it all the time even against d4! I thought that at 1:38 we should go knight d7 first, and only then play the central pawn thrust e5. But here you played e5 first. Why was that, to prevent white from playing e5, or something else? Thank you for the awesome videos, I wish I would see more from the Black Lion here on KZbin, even especially if its NOT the main lines. I almost always get either a pawn exchange on e5, instead of the main line. I think you mention this is is an equalizing position, but I'm curious what would the middle game plans be in those scenarios. Thanks for the awesome videos, I'm going to get next the Jobava London System DVD!
