When you practice doing your own nails, you often end up having different designs that don’t match the other hand just because your trying something new every time. In short, people usually think it’s weird to not have matching hands so they probably do, especially if there’s a lot of bling on them 😆

Just FYI: holding it with your thumb is what’s adding to your air bubble problem. There is not enough pressure. I stopped using that small lamp. Used a regular large LED lamp with the bottom removed and propped up on a table. That way I could get both hands inside. This way you’re able to use your free hand to secure the nail needing curing at the time.

I have a question since you seem pretty knowledgeable here. Can I buy these APRES nails without their expensive gels and add ons and just use a normal nail glue?
@danadoozer99904 жыл бұрын
@@eveezelda you can, but I advice using a thick base coat instead. Paint your natural nails with the base coat, then paint the inside of the apres nails where they will come in contact with your nails, hold in place and cure
@danadoozer99904 жыл бұрын
The reason I advise using base coat vs glue is because of the removal process. Many people don't realize that you do NOT have to soak in acetone to remove the nails! Simply clip them short and then soak in HOT soapy water for about 15 minutes. Start to gently pry up the edges that are starting to lift, then soak some more. After the 2nd soak you should be able to gently lift off the nails. Then just file off the remaining base coat and you're good to go, without the dry hands and nails that come with removal in acetone!

I do Apres nails on clients professionally but also on myself here’s a few tips ladies 1 put a goo amount of extend gel at the beginning of the tip let it fill through the nail by itself. Doing this part slowly is key to no bubbles and extra gel on the sidewall. 2. Don’t try to use that teeny tiny lamp when working on yourself it’s more efficient when working on other people. What you can do is let your normal size lamp if you have one sit at the edge of ur table or nail desk so it can catch ur motion and cure it while you hold the nail In place . It’s less work that way, So happy you finally tried Apres LHPN ✨❤️

I’ve done so many sets on myself with my gel-x! I am not a nail tech what so ever and these last at least 4 weeks on me. Removal is 10-15 mins super easy! Just takes some getting used to doing it on yourself. I haven’t even attempted to use the mini light in the kit on myself (better for application on client), I just simply slide out the tray in my uv/led lamp and prop it up somewhere. If that makes sense! It makes the process so much easier. Love love love my gel-x and I definitely won’t be going to a salon again.
@KellyKels235 жыл бұрын
How long does the whole kit last? Do you think it's really worth $150? I'm no nail tech either but I've been doing my own for the longest & have really come to appreciate nails I can press on rather than mold myself.
@Nickichimney5 жыл бұрын
Dee the whole kit includes enough product for 50 sets, and they last 3-5 weeks. I’ve been using this for about 5 months now and have had a couple sets last 5 weeks! If you enjoy doing nails and want something that is much easier than sculpting (especially when doing them on yourself) I would definitely recommend to try it! I know it seems like a big chunk of money to spend all at once on nails, but it’s such a bang for your buck. I just think of it this way. If you went to a salon once a month and paid $55 + tip and had them last 4 weeks, even with just getting fills you would spend way more than $150 if you got 50 sets done from a salon!
@jackiep98045 жыл бұрын
How do you remove gel-x? Can you soak them off or do you need to file off the tips?

@@wioi no I think she's correct. Each size has 50 nail tips. So assuming none of your nails use the same size, you could get 50 sets out. But for me, two of my nails use the same size so I don't get 50 sets from a box.

I have been wearing the Gelx nails for about a year now and I absolutely love them. You did very well for your first try, but my only advice was that you forgot to do your base layer of gel on your nail bed first, then you cure your nails with just the gel. Then you put gel in the well of the tip, press tip on, and then cure again. This will not only make them adhere better, but it will also prevent the air bubbles.

I love watching your videos. I honestly am terrible at painting my own nails. But your videos are so entertaining and your voice is soothing, unlike other you tubers... Watching you makes me think I can do it. I know better but for a minute it’s nice 😂❤️

I actually love this nail system.. -2 key points one being the light situation. I started using my own nail lamp, lift it up with a clothes hanger haha. Got ghetto on that.. That way I can hold the nail on while curing. 2nd.. I just can't afford that extend gel so I started buying Mia secret builder gel in a bottle. I actually like it better it's a perfect consistency it's way cheaper . It worked perfectly.. other than that I'll keep buying the nails but the other stuff I can replace with something cheaper and just as good. .

I wonder if this would work as an adhesive for a press on kit.
@brittanyadams2174 жыл бұрын
concrete rose they would have to be clear press ons otherwise the light can’t penetrate through nails that aren’t clear or transparent.

Even though the price is steep the amount of sets and the easy application is right up my alley. I've been looking for a kit that's easy to use and long-lasting and I feel as though this is the product and it's convenient that it comes with a lamp of its own and I love how small it is and the packaging is great for on the go. Definitely worth the money 😊😊😊

@jmhh32645 жыл бұрын
@@Nails_By_Kimberlee easy to get the hang of but don't expect salon quality on your first try. If you are patient and take your time it will turn out great.

they should make boujie glue on nails!!!! like it’s the same exact application with the gel but instead the nail already has color/shape/design and all you need to do is put them on!!!

I Think the nails have to be at least a little see through so the light can get trough the nail to the gel 🤔
