I had trouble doing my own acrylics, but then I bought a tube of polygel and I found it much easier! It's hard like acrylic but easier to file, you can sculpt it for as long as you need to make it perfect, it stays put until you cure it, and it doesn't have a bad smell (you don't need monomer, only 70% alcohol). Excuse me of this is all info you already know, I'm just very excited about it because I struggled with acrylic for so long :P
