I'm 75 & when I was 16, my grandfather introduced me to his friend, Richard Konter, who had accompanied Admiral Byrd on two expeditions to both the North Pole (1926) & Antarctica (1928-30). He graciously gave me envelopes & a form letter, dated Dec. 28th,1929, which were originally mailed from "Little America"! Mr. Konter gained fame when he got married, for the first time, at age 80 & appeared on the 1950's t.v. show "Life Begins at 80"! Still have the letter & envelopes!

Everyone was told to go inside and 20 or 30 minutes later we were able to see the ocean feel the sun beat on our faces and we all were able to go topside and have a steel beach picnic. We were told we have crossed the equator of near the South Pole. We even had a ceremony for Pollywogs to become Shellbacks. I crossed the equator twice by sea and twice by air.

@@theflint7692 not the interviewer but the producers BEHIND the camera! Right when it starts he keeps looking at the producers for directions… I don’t know how to explain, but he was just a puppet, that gave us information, but he wasn’t a whistleblower and end up killed for speaking….. he only told us what he was allowed to tell us….. and yeah he was whatever he did in the military. But why was he REALLY there? Because it was his mission to make contact with the people under Antarctica, and to set up more nuclear reactive weapons underground… also if you think about it, and watch some documentaries, ask yourself who in there right minds would go out there like that, be in those waters etc… just like Neil Armstrong knowing they could get him to the moon but might not have a way to pull him back in? That’s some heavy mind control…. This guy is telling the truth but not all of it, because he’s apart of the lies too.

The part of Antarctica that is beyond that (he came from the Argentinian side) is about the size of the USA and was at that time undiscovered because everyone landed on the other side, the part closed to Argentina. This video's being on KZbin for the last decade. I don't think the government keeps things like this from the public, and I don't think this guy was right about the majority of his predictions. Byrd relies heavily on vagueries, i.e. claiming that Antarctica enough coal to "supply the whole world for quite a while"-- notice how he doesn't give any specific range of time, i.e. "enough to supply the whole world for 25/50/75 years"? Instead, he just says "quite a while". Also, resource extraction is more than half the battle. Lithium is found all over the world, but the real challenge is being able to build the infrastructure to transport resources from the point of extraction to around the world. Building and maintaining mining operations in Antarctica where the mean annual temperature is -70.6°F or -57°C would be outrageously challenging and the efforts needed to keep machinery (and people) running in such a harsh environmental would far outweigh the benefits of resource extraction. Uranium mining causes all kinds of horrific health and environmental issues, and even when he mentions that they've supposedly found evidence of uranium deposits... he provides no proof whatsoever and again, more than half the battle is resource extraction and building the necessary infrastructure to support large scale mining operations. The same goes with any food storage-- there are a million better alternatives to long term food storage compared to shipping food to Antarctica and then retrieving it years later. I understand why people like this guy-- he's got a nice way with words, but in my opinion he strikes me as a salesman more than any kind of legitimate scientist. He presents zero evidence to support his assertions aside from basically saying "just trust me bro I've seen it I swear", but in a nice old timey way. His claims can be followed up by looking at how true/accurate they turned out to be, and thus far... the only thing he's correct about is that scientists have been interested in the Antarctic, but for reasons a lot more boring than what he's claiming. I don't think many people who believe this guy can comprehend the laundry list of challenges involved in working in antarctic conditions. For people, the climate is incredibly difficult to deal with because outdoor work is inevitably required at various points and for machinery, the challenges are a lot different in such a cold environment compared to warmer environments. Byrd is drastically overstating the habitability of Antarctica.

Admiral Byrd, a Naval Admiral, discovered more than he is permitted to speak publicly about. There is a reason multiple countries have divided Antarctica into sovereign territories. Antarctica has land a few miles below the ice and snow. Currently, due to President Carter, we no longer own the Panama Canal. The governments of the world control the spread of information. It's refreshing to hear an actual non-agenda information seminar.

@@Roddysue it’s not speculative; Byrd was remarking on the landmass that hadn’t been reached by humans by that time. Antarctica is huge and the South Pole is most easily accessed by a route that goes from the ocean to the Ross Ice Shelf along McMurdo Sound, and then onto land up the Beardmore Glacier and onto the Polar Plateau. Scott, Amundsen, Shackleton and Byrd had travelled towards the pole by this route as it was the most convenient and fastest. And then they’d turn around and come home. But if you carried on straight past the South Pole, heading north, you’re on a massive inhospitable wasteland that makes up most of the Antarctic continent. You would eventually reach the ocean but it would take you far longer than the ‘convenient route’ I spoke about. So, no, the world is not flat and Byrd was not inferring that.

HAS ANYONE PAID ATTENTION??? Richard E. Byrd said early in the conversation, that: "Strangely enough, there left in the world today, an area as big as the United States, and that's beyond the pole, on the other side of the South Pole, from middle America." HE HAS BASICALLY SAID that further south of the region we call the south pole, is more land, as big as the USA. WHICH MEANS that the EARTH IS BIGGER then what we are shown on maps and globes. It is NOT the current Globe Model, and it of course may not be FLAT, but it is probably BIGGER, maybe twice as big. The south pole (arctic region) may actually be THE MIDDLE of the Earth, and further south of that is more continents. THE ELITE of the World, the real Elite, the powers behind the thrones, may of course occupy that part of this world and keep the common man out.

He mentions an unexplored area on the opposite side of the pole from "Little America", that is as big as the US geographically. This is long before satellites and google earth of course. And when jet airplanes were quite new. He speaks of the world shrinking, a metaphor of the time needed to get from one part of the earth to another. This program was recorded before treaties between nations of the UN agreed to keep Antarctica free of military and free of mining and resource extraction. Like coal mining. It is a little ironic that Admiral Byrd mentions the British idea of loyalty as being all important. When Captain Scott's expedition died of scurvy in a mistaken understanding of acidity versus vitamin C, caused illness and eventual deaths. Loyalty covered that up for many decades. Scurvy led to deaths due to the combination of starvation when they became lost and could not find their food supply.

@sea-pin Your trolling on here gets tiresome. The Earth IS flat. Where are your proofs that we live on a spinning, water-covered ball, hurtling through the vacuum of "space"? Among the hundreds of proofs to support the flat Earth, one is that having an atmosphere consisting of several gasses, adjacent to a total vacuum, without a physical barrier between, is a scientific impossibility. Every test on Earth proves that and, in space, can be NO different.

And by the way there's proof of globe, when you go up a mountain pressure reduces, keep going up and up and up what happens? Yeah you enter space. If we were in a dome the pressure would equalize meaning there will be as much air as there is on land as on mountains. There’s nothing there and he knew it. Nothing other than the resources he mentioned. What he also said was that the North Pole has become very militarized. That’s key. The north has been heavily militarized because we are surrounded by the Arctic Circle. Antarctica lies at the center of this flat motionless plane. It’s the complete opposite of what they’ve lead us to believe. The Arctic Circle borders those vast lands that everyone talks about being near Antarctica. The fact that there’s nothing down there but a couple of research stations testifies to that. Obviously the gateway to those kinds of resources and regions is going to be heavily militarized, as the Arctic has been for a long time now. He basically tells us the truth in this interview. Antarctica is just a red herring.
