@@injectingRevolution Tissot is a great brand, but the PRC isn't really an Explorer alternative. The Longines Conquest has the right look and is a more premium brand, yet still offering great value. They even offer a quartz version.

The Longines Conquest range was released in 1954. It is no Explorer alternative, it is the finest traveller watch in itself IMHO. The 300mm specification, A13.L01 calibre and finishing is better then Rolex

@@robbiecleighmarks3088 Yep, silicone :-) My one is +5 sec per day. I've put it on my timegrapher and it's more or less the same no matter the orientation (crown down, face up/down etc) so I could probably get it down lower.

I can't compare it with an Explorer as I don't have one, but I have had my 39mm auto Conquest(black dial of course) for a couple of years and frankly it grinds my gears when it is touted as an an alternative. It is just a damned fine watch, I still catch myself looking at the dial for longer than I meant to when checking the time. Quality watch!

The hydro dial would be extremely boring without the date window.

​​@@istvantoth7431 I don't agree. A non date version of hydro with an added 3 digit would make it looking better. Large 6, 9 and 12 digits without a 3 digit because of the date window makes the dial unsymmetrical.

I have the Longines conquest in both White dial 39 mm and Blue dial 41mm , will never buy another watch as both excellent !

I tried a White dial 39mm one on the other day, beautiful in fit and finish. I will try a 41mm just to be sure though. I think id like a blue dial one.

@@markharrison2484 Good luck with the blue dial , my favourite is the 39mm white dial as fit superb and the white looks better than the blue for me .

I tried the blue version. Horrible legibility. Shiny dial with shiny indices... Worst combo ever. Sent it back, bought the black version. All good now, happiness is back.

Longines is great...but the perfect Rolex Explorer killer is the Tudor Black Bay 36 or 41.

That's a fair statement as it is more than half the Price of a Rolex, but the Tudor is 3 to 4 times the Price of the Longines,

The Longines is certainly a beautiful looking watch all round and hugs the wrist nicely. Well built and the movement is so accurate. A wonderful alternative, but keep in mind that the crown is a little unnecessarily long and does dig into the wrist at times. The piece as a whole is quite heavy and the bracelet has no micro adjustment at all. The blue has applied markers with no lume and the black has printed markers with a pathetic lume. So looks great, is good but far from perfect.

Agreed. The black version has lume and painted markers (why? Don't know lol). That's why I bought a previous version of the conquest, with the more common ETA-2824 movement which comes with applied markers. Love it, despite the negatives that you mentioned.

@@junwoojang2941 it's still a beautiful watch regardless and I love the 41 which was unavailable previously. For me it still looks better than an explorer and Co. And anything else in this category. That's why I'm keeping it. I do love it.

I haven't had any issues with the crown on my one but yes, micro adjustment is a bit of an issue, I'm wearing my one on the baggy side. Lume is a bit lacklustre too, otherwise, I'm loving it.

😂😂😂 your funny! Seiko competes with the Rolex?….😂 😂 😂 I do agree Longines has some validity in the comparison. But even they struggle keeping the “blue dial” and “black dial” the same….apparently, it can’t be done. The rest of your list….not even close.
