One of my favorite Longines to come out in a while. Now that is a dial side power reserve indicator done right. Beautifully executed and incorporated perfectly into the awesome dial design. Well done! Other brands should take note (esp. GS). Black one is my favorite.

That Longines Conquest central power reserve is a real beauty. I tried one on at my AD last weekend (Anthracite). The black is actually my favorite of the 3 though. Thanks for the Seiko Power Design Project report.

I love that Longines. I hope they make a manual wind no date version in the near future.

4:34 At the risk of being “that guy” with the non-sequiturs, the panda watch is clearly influenced by the children’s book “Panda Sento” by artists/creatives Tupera Tupera. It’s a fav for Japanese kids and I’m pretty sure I’ve read it to my daughters almost as many times as Omega did a special edition speedmaster. I love that Seiko does this contest, and. I love that you brought it to us. Last note: Zach Weiss is too young to have been around when Bauhaus was shocking the world. But I’m glad he appreciates the music us olds listened to back in the day….

Kudos and a like for the Oskar Schlemmer reference. Also, Longines gives you a hell of a lot for your $3,800. I don't need it, but damn, I want it.

Great reference to the band Bauhaus. Not many people (in the watch world) are remotely hip to 80’s Post Punk classics

considering the Zenith: as a more affordable alternative the Longines Master Collection Calender Chronograph comes to mind

Its amazing how these brands can convince people to part with a considerable amount of money for a watch! People tend to mix up worth and cost! Imo

much preferred the lugs on the original version of the Longines which by their elongated nature heightened the autonomy of the watch head and accentuated its instrument like character.

“If you’re into wearing lunar surfaces” … yes, indeed. DSotM must be pretty high on the top-10 of most kitsch watches from the past 10 years.

Watching Tudor fanboys commenting immediately under any Longines videos is hilarious 😂..... ...." useless and stupid to put a power reserve indicator" ... ..... "the prove of how much marketing money Longines spend" ....

If the moon landing was fake, does that mean that Speedmasters are fake too?

Updating an watch that was released to commemorate an anniversary seems like an odd basis for designing a watch.

Im honestly so ober and sick of Omega , they’re gonna keep milking that moon landing for eternity. Instead of doing a million releases of the speed master, they need to focus on making an update for the smp 300 , it’s old as hell , has a wide ass bracelet with no taper in 2024 like what are you doing omega lol

Good lord, that Speedmaster with that rocket-hand is basically a kid's toy. For kids with a lot of dough, but stil. Infantile to the max, that. It makes the sunflower Seiko look serious.

This just proves how much marketing money longine spends. How can every single of their watch get so much coverage? Plus the watch is kinda not so nice looking.

Maaaate… have you looked at their full line-up, or even their back catalogue/history? Now conflate that with their prices and I’m pretty sure you’ll be more surprised about some other brands getting way more coverage despite falling way short of in all those categories. Also ‘’not so nice looking’’ really fails as an argument. Let me guess, Tudor fan boy? 😂

It is useless and stupid to put a power reserve indicator on an automatic watch, lol. If the watch is not running wind it. If it is, wear it, and you do not need to know the power. If you wear it every day, it will be fine.
@mybrainlikesthings
@mybrainlikesthings 7 ай бұрын
1) If you don’t wear it every day; 2) If you life is sedentary, then it’s not winding itself up; And, 3) Low power means low torque and a movement that is poor at keeping time. I can’t speak for everyone, but having an automatic watch unexpectedly stop in the middle of the day is disappointing and reminds of what sucks about mechanical watches. So, having a watch that can provide meaningful feedback is a step towards better operational reliability.

There is no reason for wearing a watch in this day and age. If you wear one you just might enjoy it having a well designed power reserve.

It’s a complication, genius. It’s about as important as a GMT function for people who say, ‘this is perfect for when i travel (once every 3 years)’.

Automatic/mechanical watches are practically useless and stupid in this day and age. We buy because we like it! So your argument is useless in the first place.

Pro tip: learn to say Longines correctly. Ridiculous that a watch channel can't get a basic pronunciation right. It is not "Long Jeans", the 's' is silent.
