The blue dial on the steel bracelet is my second-favorite iteration of this handsome watch - I own my favorite, the rich green dial on the high quality green rubber strap. A rugged, stylish diver that looks the business but costs a lot less than it looks like it should cost. Home run for Longines.

Hi Anders, thank you very much again for yet another great review. I think I'm a subscriber around 2 years now and It's been always a pleasure to see the content here. I think the key factor of the channel's charm is that it's humble, like you said in the beginning of this video. I love it! I believe you have got no budget constraint when it comes to collect watches but you never let viewers feel that, you never brag or rant, as you are not a watch snob but rather a watch enthusiast. You don't invest on channel for expensive lights or HD camera, long edits or effects etc, but it's simplicity makes the reviews comfortable to watch. I feel like I'm chatting with a friend. I like one-shot videos, it's like Sergio Leone movies, immersive... I like to see that you praise sometimes a double digit thousand Euro costing Rolex, but you also can enjoy a 60 Euro Casio, as well. These make this channel unique. Please, don't change this! About the watch... it's nice that you paid attention to Longines recently. I suppose I left a comment some time ago about this brand, and I like that this brand received appreciation from you as a high-end collector. Thank you. Regards.
@TimeAndCrown3 жыл бұрын
Hi Umi. I really appreciate your comment. The way you experience my content and that I enjoy a wide variety of watches - from very affordable to luxury - is exactly how I want it to come about. I guess that is how real wristwatch passion is. I’m planning to upgrade with better lighting and camera but the down to earth style will stay. Thank you very much. Best regards, Anders

Indeed. Definitely wears as 42-42.5 mm, easy.. because of the lug-to-lug distance (51mm !) and the big crown and crown guards... So don't get mislead by the "41 mm" case width I have this watch in black. Loving it. Runs +1-3 secs a day. Very good movement (Omegas had the same in the early 2000s). I wish only if the clasp was a bit better quality.

Just purchased the black version and I'm in love. It's my new daily and has replaced my Monta Oceanking Gen 2. The Monta O.K. arguably had better specs, however the uniqueness and quirkiness of this dial design along with the history of the Longines brand make this one a winner for me. The modified ETA 2892 with 65 hrs power reserve was the cherry on top. Highly recommend 👌

@@TimeAndCrown my thoughts exactly! It does feel like a quality piece on the wrist tho. The case and watch itself is superb, nice heft and quality feel.... Although I have a small grove with the clasp, a lot of Breitling watches have the same clasp at a higher price point... Hi joonas. It has a saphire crystal glass which is very resistant to cracks. Sapphire (whether natural or synthetic) is one of the hardest substances on earth. It measures 9 on the Mohs scale, which is a system for rating the relative hardness of various materials. (Diamond measures 10, the highest rating.) It would probably be a very costly repair but just be aware that the material itself is extremely hard.

Really tempted to get this, but the lug to lug is too big for me. Does it come in a 39mm at all? Cheers
@TimeAndCrown2 жыл бұрын
It actually does but then it’s with an aluminium bezel insert and not ceramic.

How is everyone’s experience with the movement?
@Lonewolf-kw8gg3 жыл бұрын
Excellent, I have mine almost 18 months now, I wear it daily. When I first got it (Birthday gift from the wife) it was running -4 sec per 24 hours out of the box but the more I wear it the more accurate it has become, it's currently running approx -1 sec per 24 hours sometimes even less, I've seen 48 hours with zero loss a few times already, once a week or so I give it a full manual wind which seems to help with the accuracy, also the power reserve is outstanding, I've let it run down twice and both times it's managed over 70 hours

I'm stuck between blue and gray, I couldn't decide, can you help me?

Its all a matter of taste. The blue is very shiny and loud.

Is the ceramic made only for the 41mm, or also on the 39mm?
@TimeAndCrown3 жыл бұрын
It’s only ceramic for the 41 mm. I wish they made the 39 mm with a ceramic insert as well.

So which one between this and the Certina? I see you’ve reviewed both - how about a comparison video?

Longines vs omega seamaster please
@Jabber-ig3iw3 жыл бұрын
Totally different class of watch. The Seamaster is 10x the watch for 3x the price. That doesn’t stop this being a lovely watch, as a Seamaster owner I would definitely buy this as well.

Is this even better than the Tag Heuer Aquaracer calibre 5?
@TimeAndCrown3 жыл бұрын
Hi David. In my opinion the movement is better. TAG Heuer use basic Sellita SW-200 movements. But I do think the bracelets on newer Aquaracers is much better.

Longings doesn’t use Powermatic 80 movements. Tag uses plastic spacers with in their movement casing.

There are 3 versions, lowest grade use plastic bits in movement."Within the Powermatic family of movement's there are -thus far- three different levels; C07.1XX; these have a synthetic(plastic) escapement. C07.6XX; these have a regular escapement. C07.8XX; these have a silicon hair spring."

I bought a Hydroconquest in Green. Lovely watch but the bracelet is garbage. very sharp edges, feels like cheap stamped metal that missed the polishing process. The case and dial are exceptional, but the bezel is louder than an F-22 on reheat. Never heard such a loud click when you turn the bezel
