people don’t understand if ellie killed abby, it would be for the same reason abby killed joel. she thought she fulfilled her emptiness through revenge, but instead was still haunted by dreams of her deceased father. it was only when she took up Lev that she was able to receive closure. that being said, this game isn’t about revenge, nor is it about forgiveness. it’s about learning to find better ways to get closure. of course the world in this game isn’t your typical “everything ends up great”, but rather the harsh reality of how life would possibly be in this situation. if ellie killed abby then lev would have come after her and killed her, then possibly anyone who Ellie would look after (possibly JJ) would go after Lev, creating a non ending cycle. Ellie letting abby go showed strength to stop the cycle of hatred, and only then was she able to let go of her haunting past.

Just because people didn't like the game, doesn't mean they didn't understand what was happening. And if this is about closure, what was the point of Abby going after Joel five years after the fact? Why couldn't she find a better to get closure?

@@serendipityjl234 She find this when she could kill ellie in the theater.and if Ellie was superior to Abby, she could let all Abby friends alive, but both are just humans with human emotions. Both fell happy, sad and mostly angry.

Does anyone know where I can find the version of this song played on an electric guitar when Abby and Lev flee the burning Seraphite island with the boat?

Fantastic pieces of music like this just make me sad the story end of the game couldn't deliver like this.

I think the ending is very necessary and beautiful. If Ellie had killed Abby she would’ve learned nothing from Joel’s death. Ellie is very strong to allow herself to forgive just like Abby moved on in the end. Abby didn’t even want to fight Ellie. Both very strong characters to me.
