NTH subs are terrific watches….11mm thin, double-domed sapphire, lumed bezel and crown that is also big, smooth highbeat, good screwed bracelet, solid end links, travel case. I own over 20 different NTH variants but not this blue Nacken.

I have admired the snowflake hands on Tudors for quite a while. When I saw this Nacken in Marc's video, I immediately ordered one. I have been incredibly happy with the watch. The comfort, fit, and finish really are excellent. The readability of the white hands on the blue dial is better than I hoped. I bought the no-date version for its simplicity and for the added lume marker at the 6 o'clock position. The Miyota 90S5 movement in my watch seems to pick up about 4 seconds in 24 hours. I also picked up a blue, curved-end Viton Rubber strap from NTH for the watch as an option to the bracelet. Both are exceptional. Thanks again, Marc!!!

Always loved these!, glad its back with V2 .... snowflake MN vibes. Very tempted by this. @Marc : on the no date one when you zoomed in, it looked like a discoloration on the left side of the bezel from 50 - 40 is that a smudge or the finish?, is it common? Blue FTW!

I saw this too. What you are seeing is the metal finish. Under the studio lights it looks discolored. In normal light, it's not apparent at all.

I've been lusting after NTH for a while now. I'd love to get my hands on a barracuda in blue, but they don't seem to be in stock anywhere. The Nacken is a close second, but I prefer the more vintage aesthetic of the barracuda.

One of the very best camouflage date windows I have ever seen, blue is so nice (a bit biased there since I am a blue dial sucker 😊). Wished that L2L was a bit shorter to fit my small wrist.

Nth are good watches, i owned the vanguard. My only complaint is the crown. Since the case is so thin, the crown sticks out farther than the case. It would rub on my skin, causing irritation and discomfort. If they made the crown smaller, it would be a perfect sub.

Very nice watches. Blue, of course. The trap that many dive watches fall into is looking like more famous brands, in this case the Tudor hands. The microbrand designers would do well to make sure they imitate as little as possible in order to establish a separate and as distinct identity as possible. It's not always easy to do, mind you.

Not for $700, if I want a Tudor homage in blue I can get the Steinhart Ocean 39 marine blue for quite a bit less. But I'm not familiar with NTH, so maybe I just don't get it. I can pick up two Islanders and have money left over at this price.

Many people think that the smoother secondhand sweep of higher beat movements are more attractive. Your are correct it is 8bps. In theory I think higher beat movements are said to be more accurate, but in real world use I don’t think it is necessarily the case. I have some very accurate (lucky on my part) Seiko movements at 6bps and some Swiss 8bps movements that were slightly less accurate.

I’ve heard people say that all watches seem to be variations on one theme or another. Example divers, pilots, & field watches. Would you ever take a crack at a TOTALLY original design?

I kind of look at it like genres in music. Bauhaus, dive, pilot, military/field, dress, chrono, sport, digital, 24hr, dual time zone are all genres of watch and each genre has its list of "compositional habits" which are features that help consumers distinguish it as belonging to that sub-type. It's hard to come up with anything that's completely original because everything we create is a product of knowledge or experience we likely learned or observed from those around us, as well as those who came before us. Even the most original watches out there like the ones that use liquid and pumps or the ones that use rotating drums (slot machine style) were all inspired from another watch or some other object in life (like a speedometer)

I like the watch, but i only see this worth no more than 500usd or probably 550 usd. I think there are microbrands out there with better quality at 700 usd, or just continue to save up for more premium microbrands like Christopher ward or formex. Solid watch, but just nothing spectacular to justify the price.

I tend to agree with you about these being slightly overpriced. However, seeing as how I don't have 15K for an original vintage Tudor Sub Marine Nationale, one of these NTH's would fit the bill quite nicely. Hit up Watchrecon - You can find these watches in great condition for $450-$500 all day long. There's always a large variety available. I own an NTH Devil Ray, and absolutely love it. High quality watches, for sure.
