[Longplay, No Commentary] Battlezone: The Red Odyssey (PC, 2016) CRA Very Hard Play-through

The Red Odyssey is the expansion pack for Battlezone (1998), originally released in 1999 for Windows. It too received the remastering treatment as a DLC to Battlezone 98 Redux. In this iteration, the NSDF's elite Black Dog Squadron was unexpectedly confronted by spacefaring Chinese forces. Part 2 of my play-through tells the story from the perspective of the Chinese Red Army (Campaign name: Red Storm) in Very Hard difficulty.
In comparison to the base game, The Red Odyssey really ramped up the difficulty level by over 9000. It is now more imperative for players to know the scripted sequences and spawns by heart and take the appropriate actions in advance. There is little room for error and improvisation. Cheesy / desperate tactics will even be more necessary in this expansion. I have managed to avoid criticising the AI in the base game videos because they were at least still manageable, but the dumb AI at times made me extremely frustrated here when they actually undermine my otherwise good run. However, one positive thing that came out from this is, that I finally put in the effort to learn the more advanced controls and tactics in order to beat the game, so viewers can probably see more "high level" plays compared to that in my base game play-through. Finishing the campaign without cheats itself is an achievement, in my opinion.

You can repair the hanger you need to protect by sending repair from armoury to it.

Once u built barrack you may as well recycle it for the craps. the increased pilots will stay as long as you didn't reach the max count without that barrack.

An alternative way to increase pilots were to recycle your factory and rebuild, repeat.

american and ccp gun towers actually do have 2 gun slots or atleast they had in the original battlezone release. Since this was made later maybe they forgot to make it like that or it was changed in the re-release.

CCP yes, american is single as far as I know even from the original version.

American are single powered while their cca counterparts are dual to compensate the lesser damage from the chain gun
