Greatest WW2 game ever. We need a sequel…..maybe a modern one?

I used to rent this game from a PC game store called Microplay. That business model didnt last when crackz and Warez hit the scene. One could rent games and copy it. On the playstation you had install a chip into the board to play copied rentals.

Wonder where the developers are now.

A message for current (modern...) game developers: this is a game. Released in 2003!!! Stop doing the "same things"..., "sameness"..., you're doing... we can't take it anymore... I play HD2 20 times, but I can't play a game of this more modern style more than once.

This was my First Mech Warrior game. Me and my brothers were blown away by the game play and the idea of sitting in the cockpit of a heavy robot. Loved it. Played it on my pentium 2 celeron on low graphics. I remember my PC used to heat up while playing this game.

Didn't have the chance to play this game myself, but man I love the showdown against Burke at 4:23:05. The music, his taunting, it's perfect.

I really wish I could get this to run better on my PC.

I miss this game. I had the Titanium Trilogy and spent days playing all three games. Now I understand I would need to emulate windows 98 to get it to run. I still live in hope that GOG or someone will patch it for modern systems.

So I played the mech assault games as kid. I randomly thought of this game one day and how I use to play it on my dads pc. How does someone get into the battletech/mech warrior series? What books do I get and games to play in order?

This by far had one of the best campaigns you could ever play for mech warrior for its time!

What is that godawful music at the command center segments? My copy way back in the early 90s did not have that and it was way better for it -- just the ambient noise of the holotech, etc. Something they added in later with a revision? Terrible choice.

I'm guessing that this game was developed sometime after Mech Assault was released, because I recognize the sounds used for a few of the weapon systems from Mech Assault with the PPC and Autocannon being the most recognizable.

Is this the PowerVR version? If not, which is it?

I remember being a kid, and therefore an idiot, when I got this game. And I had such a hard time figuring out why the spider vehicles wouldn't kill anything.
