Excellent game and graphics. You are the best. Thunder Spirits is much better that Thunder Force 3 for Sega Genesis and Thunder Force AC for Arcade.

Due to the slowdown, it's definitely not imo. But I truly believe that could be fixed with a combination of using FastROM and much better code optimization. It's such a shame that sooo many SNES shmups were stuck using SlowROM, which basically artificially slows down the system to 70% of its full speed, as it really would have benefitted every one of them to simply use FastROM, never mind have much better optimized code too. In modern times, I believe some hackers could basically remove all the slowdown from this game.

Now here's a SNES shmup that definitely needs a FastROM patch plus proper code optimization. I think it already has the former done in recent times, but the latter would really help too. Other than the slowdown it's a pretty good shmup on SNES. I think it could have been even better though to be honest, but it's solid.

I made it to Stage 7 on easiest setting before I bought the failed. That was before I used Game Genie.
