Shot #5 on the mile milk jug. If you watch on the left side of the jug you see a light mist of water as it impacts the top of the neck.
@Biffo1262 Жыл бұрын
Look again at shot five. You can see it hit the back plate just on the top edge of the existing hole to the right. The spray of 'water' is paint powder off the back plate. I've checked every shot and frankly I think it's more likely an exit hole from a fragmented bullet. What it really beed to dispel all doubt is a closer target camera so it can viewed full frame at hi-res.

Truth be told I'm about to give up on videos on KZbin. They not only cut my revenue by 75% but now they aren't even allowing me to put ads on videos like the 22 match I posted a few weeks ago. I can't even request that the video be reviews manually to determine if it was appropriate or not because it doesn't get more than 1000 views per week. So lame and discouraging as this stuff takes a ton of time.

How is he getting that kind of velocity with 195 grain bullets in a 7mm Remington mag? I know he is using a 28 inch barrel but that still seems way too fast. That is more like 7mm-300 territory.
@roryrohrer76405 жыл бұрын
Its all barrel length and he is probably pushing them with RL33 or 26 I just found this video but I have had 28 Krieger getting finished for 9 months now in 7mm rem mag so I push the 195s to 2900fps

@@roryrohrer7640 WOW!! OK SOUNDS GOOD, WHAT TYPE OF BARREL ARE YOU GOING WITH? MAYBE IF YOU GET A 28 INCH BARREL AND AFTER THAT COUNT OF ROUNDS, HAVE THE BARREL SET BACK AND GET ANOTHER 13K TO MAKE IT WORTH YOUR WHILE, NO?! I WONDER WHEN THEY ARE GOING TO COME OUT WITH 7MM PRC ROUND WITH A 30° SHOULDER? ARE YOU SHOOTING BERGER BULLETS OR HORNADY?
@roryrohrer76405 жыл бұрын
@@Plainsimple67 both I have 180 elds and the 195s the elds are my target loads and the 195s are for when I go out west in a year lol and your idea might work to get more use out of the barrel if its groups open up I will keep that in mind. And I have thought about the advantage of a 7prc but where I shoot at thunder valley precision Tom Sarver has what is called a 7mmhulk which is a 338LM case necked to 7mm and he say to shoot out to a mile with berger 180 hybrids is only 17moa elevation! He also holds the record for tightest group at 1k 1.4" with his 300hulk witch is same design just 30 cal so if I want more out of a 7mm I have that to kick around. But barrel life will only be 500 rds I would say

We haven’t had a public challenge outside of our classes since about 2019. Now our classes are so popular that we just haven’t had the time or motivation to do a dedicated MJC event. Students do get the chance to do all the challenges in class though - www.longrangeshootersofutah.com/classes/

How much someone has invested into a competition rifle should have zero implication on the size of the winnings/ prize he’s competing for! Just like running a foot race and determining who gets the trophy based on who has the cheapest shoes!
