So much potential for this screen, awesome find from the mighty Skystalker ! I cant remember which shooter game it was but I used to have the game on my main screen and the game radar on a 17" TFT but THIS would have been perfect for that game and others too if there are any. A limited desk space would be perfect for this, would it work on a flight simulator for extra controls ? Thanks Mike and Kath (and Sky) for the video 😃

Great Video! I saw the touch screen issue with a lot of user and some of the comments below saying that windows 10 doesn't work with secondary display touch screen. Actually this not true you can have it as secondary display touch screen you just need to tell windows that the touch gestures belongs to which screen. I have the same screen all you have to do is the following: 1- Make sure your screen is connected to your PC via HDMI and USB plugged in the "touch" header on teh screen 2- Go to control panel and view by large icon 3- If you have your screen connected you will see an option called "Tablet and PC settings" 4- Open this option and click on setup (no need to change your display option it doesn't matter) 5- As soon as you click on setup a message will appear "saying tab this screen with a single finger to identify it as touch screen", normally this message will appear on the main screen first so do not touch the secondary screen with your finger yet, just click "enter" and the message will move to the secondary 7 inch screen 6- put your finger anywhere on the 7 inch screen and that is it. It will work flawlessly. One draw back i noticed is that if you disconnect the screen you have to do the setup again. I didn't try with a third touch screen so i donno how windows behave when you have 2 additional touch screen

I personally have a 7 inch non-touch based screen I planning on putting in either my N-Case M1 build or my CM NR200 (OG version) build as a readout display for pc components which has been done by various Techtubers etc already 🥰👍🥳🤯 but does look very impressive nonetheless 👍😉

I have an old benq 19" 1280x1024 lcd that I use as a secondary monitor to read text. Fonts are larger than on my 1440p 25" monitor. I can see some uses for this small touch screen. Thanks for the hint!

It looks a little like the Screens from my Car a couple of years ago but without the feet and i had no Touch screen feature , useful for some but i personally prefer to use a 2nd monitor Great content as always Mike

Thanks for the great review, Mike! I came to the same conclusion - if you are using more than one monitor, then don't bother with the touchscreen. It is far more trouble that it is worth in Windows. You should post a picture of the final implementation of your setup! Would love to see how it came out.

thanks for sending it Sky and sorry it took so long to actually get a video out on it. I am still deliberating changing out my desk to a ikea one and i am really struggling to make my mind up. i do believe you can use it with a software and plug it into your pc and get temps , fan speeds etc on the screen and many other ideas to use it with i do think it more for portable device when camping or keeping the kids busy on long road travels as you can use a main second monitor that cheaper than 60 quid but not bad for the price

You mentioned in your video that the touch doesn't work correctly if the screen is your secondary monitor. Actually, it's easy to fix. In Windows, search for "calibrate touch" or " calibrate pen" from start menu. Or, go to control panel -> devices > tablet input settings -> calibrate. Then select the touch display. It's a windows issue

@@mikesunboxing oh, another thing. I've modified the circuitry to control the brightness. I think I will make a video about that. Very easy to do actually. these devices are all over the place. mine doesn't have backlight switch at all. it auto sleeps as well.

My Netbook has a 1024x600 screen, there are quite a few things for which 600 is just not tall enough PS. Could probably mount one inside a Windowed case for status display, though a panel + controller kit might be cheaper and there would be no point in touch screen... £19.39 for a 3.5" 480x320 that would do as a case status display

Hey so I just got my first raspberry Pi a week ago (model 3B) and bought this monitor for it.. But im not getting a signal when I connect the HDMI. I have the raspberry Pi OS installed on the sd but do I need to do anything else so it can connect to this monitor? (I tested it on my TV's HDMI input and it worked so the rasp pi is functioning properly with other screens)
