Hope you found a soundwave if you haven't already. It literally took me forever. Soundwave has always been my favrotie so I'm so stoked to have this reissue, it's amazing. I know this will never happen but I would absolutely love to have a G1 megatron reissue

My local Walmart sells out of these g1 reissue’s almost right away so the only ones I have are Hot Rod and I was lucky enough to get Soundwave and both cassette packs. So cool they are releasing them

I picked up both sets about a week ago.These are way better than the Autobot minicars in terms of looks and playability.Having weapons are a bonus which the minicars lack.

Three years later, it got this on ebay. It’s the opposite for me, though. Frenzy was always blue to me because I DID have the original toys and this is how I got Frenzy and Laserbeak. Thanks for the review! I have way more Transformers now than when I was a kid, but i am trying to replace my old ones.. whether they are original, re-issue, and modern versions. Even though I am watching this video in 2023, I still appreciate this. But I gotta ask.. are you now Patriot Prime? Is this one of your earlier vids? Or am I completely wrong? Either way.. geeks unite!

Just snagged these guys and a Soundwave today. I find Ravage stands a LITTLE better if you offset his paws, but he still falls over if you think about him too long. lol

i also bought my first Transformers since 1986. I got Wheeljack and Megatron from Authentics Alpha series (7inch). They're cheap, under 20$ and they look great.

Actually The studios cartoon studios made the mistake & there was a mis communication between them & Hasbro. It was the cartoon sunbow production company that got the names wrong between the 2. They announced it at a botcon one year Hasbro.& John warden told me too at SDCC. It is true That mistake did happen years ago in the cartoon. SO yes Even in movie production & Even in factories mistakes happen.

Love these reissues. My only quibble is laserbeaks guns are altered and made so short. I don't understand why Hasbro changed them. The originals looked awesome. Instead of major pistols on laserbeaks weapons, he now has little nubs to shoot with. Oh well.

I think that Hasbro shortened Laserbeak's and Buzzsaw's cannons for safety reasons.

Hello Long's Toys. This is a great review on these G1 Transformers reissues from Walmart. I purchased both sets of these Decepticon Minicassettes earlier today from Walmart in Abbeville, Louisiana. Hopefully, in the next 2 weeks, I should be in a better position to buy the G1 Reissue Soundwave with the Buzzsaw Minicassette from that same Walmart store. I have subbed to your channel as well.

I'm 18 and I grew up playing with my grandpa's micro cassette corder so I'm probably the only one in my graduating class to know what a micro cassette is and have used them! EDIT: I just turned 18 on the 21st of July

I picked up both packaged pairs of cassettes the day I saw them on the shelves last summer. Rumble/Frenzy name mix-up aside, they all look surprisingly accurate to the '80's cartoon, almost completely down to their colorings. I would've been damn proud to have them as I watched the show back in the day. :) One complaint, though: once I take off Ravage's hip blasters to turn him back to cassette mode, his whole left body plating tends to come with a blaster if I'm not careful. Anyone else have this or a similar issue?

a bit pricy. Laserbeak has a hook beak and i wish Rumble and Frenzy had their pounders. still very cool figures.

6:10 I hate it when people transform g1 Rumble and Frenzy's arms like that the it's an outward shoulder not an elbow! It just looks and feels wrong

That's the way the G1 toys were always packaged. I forget whether the Rumble and Frenzy toys were named before their cartoon counterparts, though.
