The first time i learned there were actual "greatswords" and they werent nearly as slow and clunky as theyre despicted in games, i became kind of obsessed lmao . I started practicing with a honshu polypropylene broadsword but now i have my very own blackfencer longsword which i love love love. The most satisfying part to me IS flow. When done right its so smooth and elegant. Almost an art.

I loved this. The simplicity throughout the video still held my attention - it was like a form or a kata, but when you went into free flow it was clear that you have skill and are quite comfortable with a sword, but that that level of fluidity is achievable through enough time practicing this exercise. Thank you for sharing :)

Great video. I feel like I have learned so much just from watching you. Every move was so deliberate and efficent. You could really see what you did and why. I am about to buy a sword for initially mainly solo drills. i was thinking about a kvetun Feder. Is there a problem with tha? i can imagine that a sword like you might help with the sound it makes cutting through the air wit edge alignement? or is it the same with a Feder? thank you very much in advance.

Thank you for the video. There was only one question - is it okay to keep your arms straight in the rack? They straighten themselves only in one case - at the extreme point of hit or thrust. I'm wrong?
@irfannurhadisatria25403 жыл бұрын
AFAIK full power cuts also have the arms straight for full power. But maybe only at the langeort, so you need to cock back your elbows and shoulders after finishing the cut

@fangsabre3 жыл бұрын
It's not a substitute for working with a partner, but it can definitely help you better understand body mechanics and helps develop muscle memory. Idk about HEMA specifically but that's usually how it goes with any martial art
@HEMATICS3 жыл бұрын
