Is there a way to replace the wire if it's damaged and attach it back to the coil its self? I have a wire that's partially cut thru but the coil is good.

Yes, take a short piece of wire and put it in the center of both ends of the wire and use electrical tape to wrap and hold it together.

If you were to use a machine screw as a guide to wrap the wire, the threads of the screw would keep the wire in place. When done winding, just twist the screw out of the wire.

Great tip, if you have the right size screw. What size screw did you use? (Amazon sells a device that has examples of every common SAE and Metric screw size, coarse or fine thread, including the male part of the screw and the hole each screws into. It's a real help in figuring out which screw you need when you don't have the one you took out and then lost. Others sell them too - Where ever you shop, for example, look for "Nut & Bolt Thread Checker - 26 Male/Female Gauges - 14 Inch & 12 Metric for Quickly Checking Nuts and Bolts Inch or Metric and Verifying The Size", or the variation you need for larger or smaller nuts and bolts.)
