Me too, last week I got one of the Mayflash (specifically the Magic-S Pro 2 as it would allow me to take advantage of it's Ps4 compatibility and to allow me to not be in a hurry to get more than 1 Ps4 controller as a backup... yes, I got a Ps4 controller, a 3rd party one, but with the Mayflash Magic-S Pro 2 I can take my time in getting another replacement while I can play with my switch controllers, xbox one/series controllers and 8bitdo SN30 Pro1 and Pro2 in the meantime... and also Wiimote+Classic Controller Pro for the heck of it, even if it lacks the R3 and L3 buttons on the analog sticks that makes some games unplayable or having to do some workaround if the game allows it, like using a keyboard in PSO2NGS to access the subpallete for example).

You missed a critical issue that affects both adapters: stick accuracy. The Magic-NS (on the latest firmware) has much better stick accuracy than the 8bitdo Adapter (also on the latest firmware). Still, stick accuracy on the Magic-NS is not 1:1 compared to a native Pro Controller, which negatively affects precision on games that require inputs from the right stick to look around. The Magic-NS has around 90% accuracy, the 8bitdo has around 40% accuracy compared to a native controller.
@Igor7675 жыл бұрын
I noticed that too, the 8bitdo has a strange precision when we talk about the sticks, and I found out about it too late, when I was testing the sticks at my switch :(

@Bubz of Steel I'm just assuming here, but it's probably a consistency issue. You won't go the same distance each time pressing it with the same pressure for the same amount of time
@tequilawolf645 жыл бұрын
The first one. The adapter gets the direction right, but between the center and the UP direction lets suppose that the Pro Controller has 10,000 thousand different values while the adapter only has 7,000. You can still move around reliably, but you can't aim with the same precision and that to me is a really big handicap. I can play games like Apex Legends on my PC with a controller EASY but I can't do the same with the Pro Controller using any of the adapters.

The hardest aspect of using these supposedly simple devices is the very limited feedback they provide through their only LED. I have a Mayflash NS that used to pair with my Xbox controllers and just won't anymore. Honestly I was also confused by the mode, wondering whether the mode should be set for the device it is connected to, or the brand of controller. Obviously now I know, and only today realised I can also connect a Wiimote to the Mayflash on the switch. in itself, not too great, but I can also connect a wii wired controlled to the wiimote and use that. Progress! I will also try a PS' controller after seeing your demonstration. I also hadn't understood/considered the need for the two modes on the switch, but that also makes more sense after your video. Thank you!

good but the main difference between this two is when you use any controller playing via bluetooth (adapter) on pc and non Steam games, you will need to charge at some point. In that case you need to plug in pc and use x360 software to convert it, if you use 8Bitdo. If you use Mayflash you don't need to connect your controller to your pc to charge and use software because it has a usb port where you can plug your controller and charge it at a same time as playing games, where 8bitdo doesn't.

Buy it and combine it with a Titan 1. You're set for life. Titan 1 has a feature no other dongle has. Take PC inputs and run them on game consoles. Meaning any gamepad you got plugged inside your PC. Titan 1 can detect it and you can convert the gamepad board to any output. This feature is called Max Aim DI. You plug the Titan 1 in the game console and leave the cord that comes with it inside the PC. Of course any gamepad will run on a PC. Do the passthrough method with Max Aim DI. You're set for life no matter what controller you have. Sega Genesis USB controller working on PS5. USB Nintendo 64 controller working on Xbox series s. Firestick remote working on Nintendo switch. As long as the PC can detect the board to the device with Titan 1 and max Aim ID. It will work on any game console.
