Nic Vieri - Co-Founder of Backyard Bike Shop.
Prior to leaving South Africa, Nic was a junior national-level swimmer and elite racing cyclist. He started his career as a bike mechanic in 1999.
Nic co-founded Backyard Bike Shop following his departure from the British Armed Forces - where he continued to race bikes.
Nic is Afrikaans first language; he actually only started learning English at the age of 9, and completed an Ironman in flip-flops because he forgot his trainers.

Tyre mounting would have me sobbing in frustration. Very nice video. Some day could you show full bar tape installation with commentary...mine tend to look like a 4 year old did it. 😄🚴‍♂️😄

Just recently saw the Cade video where Nic talked about starting the bike shop. Very inspiring going from eyeballing the alignment on the handlebar to running a shop that has a laser dedicated to that one task.

3:57 With Speed Release axles you'd put the axles into the hubs first, then install everything. Easier and quicker that way.

Love the builds etc but please you're cutting the fork and even showing the carbon fiber dust from cutting the stem which is so harmful to the health of you and your customers.

All forks cut have carbon fibre dust. Ventilation and masks are required.
