Ram is such a treasure! I found myself smiling my biggest smile while she talked about her reasons for gardening! If her goal was to make others happy through her stunning gardens, she has succeeded tremendously! Thank you so much for generously letting us in to see all the magic she has created! It’s such a joy every time we get a peak into the world Ram and Tom created down in GA! I have to ask you Jim… how did you hook up with the Gibersons? However it came about, I’m grateful you introduced us all! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

Ram, you seem to have the heart of a true gardener. That desire to share your garden is such a gardener thing. Combine that with trying to make your land a better through environmental balance versus chemicals is just magic to me. Side note: your happiness is infectious. Now I want to go fight my 20mph wind at 46○ suddenly.😅

Ram is an incredible gardener and seems like a lovely person! Their garden is a site to behold, absolutely beautiful. It seems to have so many secret spots to sit and rest. The use of water in the garden contributes to that feeling of rest and relaxation. Mature gardens are so beautiful. What she did with the bamboo is stunning! I do not think I am brave enough to let it in my garden, but the Yellow bamboo is so striking. Thank you for sharing your garden!!!

Ram, you are truly an inspiration! I am in Zone 6b Hudson Valley New York - a different climate so somewhat different plant materials but your approach can really be used almost anywhere. My husband loves bamboo but I have always steered clear of it due to its habit of running amok. How do you drain the concrete and steel containers without letting the roots escape? Gardens are definitely for sharing and we really appreciate how generous you and Tom are with yours.

As I putter around my own garden, I take inspiration from Ram’s much larger and more mature garden. Just today I noticed the pots on graduated columns. This fall I’m putting in understory trees and shrubs to layer with the taller trees, as I’ve seen Ram do. Thank you for another look at this amazing garden 😊

I hope that Horttube does a video on clumping bamboo varieties- since not all of us are up for in ground reinforced concrete containers! Which brings me to my question of what assistance does Ram have in the garden on an ongoing basis? I am certain that her work ethic is phenomenal. Also it looks like a lot of the heavy work like the concrete planters, boulders, and water features are done. Even so this amazing garden would seem to take a lot more effort than any one person could give.

Is the juniper you referenced as 'blue star' a sqamata?? My blue star sqamata does not grow low to the ground at all. It stays as a shrub...winter color is nice too...surely that persimmon is the astringent Asian one because our native persimmon aren't nearly that big. The non astringent Asian ones are like apples and are crunchy whereas the native fruit are astringent small fruit like small plums or maybe the size of crabapples and must be eaten when soft....
