Would've probably been the greatest cinematic anime experience of the year if Gurren Lagann hadn't been re-released in theaters back in January.

Running rain scene had my bawling over an anime first time in years. 3:30 few times I've felt that "profound pride" in my life, I can't help but be what Fujino is in that scene. Masterful direction.

this movie was perfect for me, and im sure it made creators tear up near the end like it did with me. i couldnt stop relating to both characters, fujino is like past me from when i was in primary school, and kyomoto is kinda like current me, a shut in who draws for fun and whos currently just started uni for art lmao. i went with my sister who's never watched an anime and i was surprised to hear her saying that she liked it, she said she wanted to see more anime movies like that and it made me so happy.

I bought a copy of the manga as soon as it was available. I really love the way Fujimoto takes an idea and lets us look at it from different angles. This story is an injection of meaning and purpose when i feel creatively spent. Thanks for makign me aware of the movie BGE!

2nd best thing watching it in theatre is finding Fujimoto-maniacs. It's a miracle it released India, much bigger one for me to find fellow Indian Fuji-freaks sitting besides me.

Yes, Look Back is amazing, but I got the strange feeling throughout this review that Nate didn't enjoy Death Stranding for the absolute kino it was. Kojimbo fans, we shall not stand for this! Let's tie him to a chair and force him to play DS2 to completion when it comes out!

I stopped myself from wacthing beyond 3:00 because the video is spoiling plot points from the movie. I gotta say I was going to watch the movie regardless because I love Fujimoto's work and I don't want to miss the one in a life time chance to experience this on the big screen.

So... I don't know if it's just me... but I just can't get behind any of Fujimoto's work. I didn't like Fire Punch all that much when I read it, I dropped Chainsawman after like 30ish chapters, and I think a lot of the hype around his stuff is similar to how I see Frieren: generally boring to look at and read. And I don't mean this to be an attack on Fujimoto himself, its just that when stuff like this feel-good sloppa comes out from an immensely successful author, I just can't invest myself in it. Can someone explain this to me? Am I the only one?
