The use of the allen wrench to pry the bass screen off was great. I used a coat hanger. It was better than some other videos I have seen. I used a butterknife to get under the plastic ring. It worked very well. But you must just use the cutting side and slide it under. Don't force the tip in! That's just good advice all around.

This is actually really useful, due to the design one could easily be led to believe that the satellite speakers are 2 way with a separate tweeter, but this shows that there is in fact only one driver per satellite. I will be giving these a miss.

Just got a main speaker disassembled without destroying it. U dont need to removing a power knob. Just unscrew a board inside, move it a little bit to the other side of mic socket and push a mic socket inside to push out a green board. Thx sign u need to pry on two sides at the same time. Volume/bass button u can use fingers or just tape it around na pull out.

I own these, they have really nice crisp highs (treble). Yes, the bass is pretty potent. I wouldn't recommend driving them with the highs too far up. (highs can get distorted). It's how you adjust them and what type of music you listen to. Once you have them configured nicely, you can drive the volume sky high! :)

Guru From my experience these speakers sound good but only if the bass is at 100%, they rely very heavily on the subwoofer to sound good. When you drop the bass below 100% they sound pretty bad imo.

The mids are highs are muted. You get vocals like the singers have cupped their hands in front of their mouths. Bass is good, although not as tight as higher-end systems. Then again, it's the best value at the price. I feel bad saying anything negative because of the astoundingly good value.

you can't buy a spare speaker driver. You can try to find a replacement driver from the Tang Band brand, because logitech uses something very similar or the same. But I would just buy a second hand z623/z625 and connect it together, forgetting about the broken speaker.

hey bud i have the logitech z623 and the4 sub suddently stopped working. No smells or bad noise. There is an amp insider the subwoofer can this blow and make the sub stop altogether? ty the sub still gets power as one of the small satellite speakers runs from d sub off the subwoofer itself. only the actually bass and subwoofer not working bud.

I ended up buying another powered sub then used the sub woofer from the blown system, wired it to the working one and now i have 2 working subs, 1 powered, 1 not but still in sub box but works fine lol. So all good in the end and still fine now. 2000w watts coming out of pc system with amp.Cannot turn it higher than qtr though as it would blow.

@@berjonibro3564 Me and my brother have exactly same z623 speakers, in fact I bought after listening music via his set of z623 speakers... His speakers were bought in 2014 or so, mine in mid to late 2016 - but, his pair at half volume blows away my (same) pair at half volume, plus my speakers made a funky smell from sub when I played at 50% volume and 50% bass the first year so newer speakers are worse than older ones of same model... You can tell his pair is much older because of logitech logo rather than logitech name written on left speaker and also mine is missing ''volume'' and ''bass'' writings on right speaker which was very odd since all reviews I've seen before buying had the ''volume'' and ''bass'' writings on the right speaker...

I bought the same model and if you dont got alot of money this is perfect ,low profile and I manage to hook up different speekers throuh the left speeker input ,the original one that come with it seems like alot of high pitch sound ,and now I'm very pleased ,there is another logic tech system I want to recomend it's the z506 it has more channels more of a sorround sound set up ,the sub is I dont think as better on the z623 thanks the video .

my son and I have the same set I had to open his to clean the sub a few years back to get rid of a rattle it had developed but it was a simple fix . I was after the Logitech Z906 but my son got me one of these so I wouldn't have a better system then him he said 1000 watts peak is to much and 400 watts is plenty . I'm still going to order it and just not tell him about it with 500 watts continual and 1000 peak how can I not get one if I can afford it.
