Useful gems like always! I totally agree with your advice, especially the nail polish. I only use gel nail polish, therefore it doesn't chip. Also, for me if my hair is on point I feel great! I don't care if you're wearing Gucci, if your crown is not right it totally throws the look off.

That details piece is KEY! When I was in my 20s, I worked at a political committee so I always was polished in my 'fit. Once I was chatting with the receptionist and she complemented me and said I looked different. After studying me for a quick minute, she noticed that I had brushed my eyebrows into place!!! I hadn't begun to get them waxed or anything (I'm 50 now) and it wasn't a big deal for me, but her picking up on that, you best believe, even when I step out sans makeup today, I always make sure my brows are brushed into shape.

One reason I love your channel, and there are many, is that you transcend age. Much of your advice and ideas are inspirational to me, at 63, and I am sure you have other followers who feel the same. The best words I heard in this video were the comments you made for younger viewers - you can always have your style, but you may have to adjust it to circumstances. Hello, love your content and your delivery. What helps me pull it together when feeling scattered is to focus on my face. I put on foundation and bronzer as well as powder and a fixer. A nice red lip and pull my hair in a neat bun and finally a smile on my face as I move about. Thinking pleasant thoughts even when going thru it. After a while I really start to feel more positive.😊

The French design rule is that three colors are max in each outfit. Patterns are treated as one, then complement that with one of the colors in the pattern. Funny, this was instinctive to me personally, so when I learned that fashion "rule," it just confirmed my style.

Alicia...your advice is always ON-POINT...reasonable...achievable! Thank you! When I'm feeling like I just can't pull it together, I always go for one of my "no-brainer" outfits. They are outfits that look good and put-together no matter what! I have a few of them. You know...that dress or set that has looked good on me from day one and I can just throw it on and go! Even if I've recently worn it, I still use it...maybe change up the shoe or accessories!! 💕🖐🏽

When I need to lift my styling spirits I find it really helps to simply shop my closet. This includes shoes, jewelry & accessories, as well. Like you, I’ve accumulated a LOT over the years and can generally find pieces I haven’t worn in ages & in some cases seasons or even years. I did it just yesterday. I was feeling anxious & kind of in a rut, did some hunting searching through my closet and found four looks for the work week that I hadn’t worn this summer. It’s a pretty basic solution, but I have fun doing it & works for me right now.
