My dad bought these irons and couldn't play them and gave them to me when I was 16 years old. I've played them ever since (I'm 25) and my handicap is about a 5. I can't get myself to buy any other clubs. They're incredible and still feel so pure after all these years.

Love the Mizuno blades. Played my best golf with mp-32's back in the day. The old Mizuno's are so consistent when you are swinging well. Yes you get punished when a bit off, but when your on they will knock flags over. Love the consistency of them, could place a bath towel over five balls from 150 when on.

I found a set of MP-30’s last year for $80 with brand new golf pride multi compound grips. 3 iron had never been hit and the rest were in excellent condition. Guy said they were a backup set and just wanted to recoup the grip price. I wanted to try a smaller head before I bought new but I don’t think I’ll be switching them out for awhile. Absolutely love everything about them.

100% agree. Back in the 60s it was Wilson Staff, in the 90s it was Mizuno MP-14/29 and now I think now Titleist may be shaped a little bit better. The whole feel thing is a myth. I've played forged all my life they are all the same.

Love the look and feel of traditional blades. Every time I see you pick up a set, I'm a little jealous. Went from a set of Titleist Tour ( about 1987) to a new set of MP 20s this year, but each time I see you with a new video, I start looking. I'm afraid I'm becoming somewhat of a collector.

Cool! I've been pondering a Srixon Combo set for about 6 months now. I'm from the U.S. but I read Srixon is becoming a major OEM in the U.K., and their Z65 & 85 lines are just gorgeous. I love the sole shapes on the 85's. I'm also quite impressed with the new Tour Edge releases. The 220 Driver is a Monster but I prefer smaller driver heads. I believe the new Limited Edition 220 Pro is a sub

I fell for the loft lie when I bought new clubs last year. Love my Wilson staff d7s but have had to take 5 iron out of bag as plays like a 2-3 iron. Bought from AG last year and was amazed how far I hit them. Now I am more knowledgeable I know it’s because the lifts have been jacked. Took the 5 iron out for a 4 hybrid and have bought Cleveland 52,56 and 60 wedges so feel like I have decent gapping now. My bag consists of Callaway Epic driver, Callaway Rogue 3 wood, Wilson Staff d7 5 wood, d7 4 hybrid and d7s 6-GW. Cleveland CBX2 52,56,60 and odyssey works marxman putter.

Cant believe they are still around! I got mine back in 2006 and never found anything to replace them. Blades always go straighter than cavity back clubs. Never figured out why. I play the MP 37 because above the muscle it’s thicker than other blades, having a more solid feel that flights the ball even lower. They also look amazing at address if you have them bent a little stronger and still have enough bounce.
@scottedmiston58504 жыл бұрын
Another benefit of forged blades: better distance control and consistency. Not just feel and feedback.

I tend to keep my clubs for several seasons. Whenever I buy used, I always assume that I need to change the grips, clean the heads and grooves, and refill the paint. Of course, I'm not looking to flip the clubs I buy. So old grips aren't a deal-breaker for me (although good multi compound grips, which is what I've been using for the past 10-years or so, would be a great plus.)

I own two sets of mizunos, mp-32 and mp-60. Bought them 6 months ago, shot my best score at my club, 5 over. I was always reluctant about buying blades, not hitting them, but because I thought I would hate them. On the contrary, they have made me better. I hope to be a single digits handicap by 2021. I'm a 14.8 right now. Thanks for the advice Simón!

How would you compare the 2? I have the mp-60 and loving them!
@jimmydelrio866211 ай бұрын
I have since upgraded or downgraded to mp 33, which are the bench make for Mizuno. I still own the mp 32 and are more forgiving than the 33 and a tad less feel. The 60s were very forgiving compared to the 33 and 32. I got rid of them because I had no feel and kept missing the center. They are great, but really are for someone in the middle and are a great upgrade to any beginning. Once you go 32 or 33, you won't go back to 60s. I had a guy trade me for my another set 32s for some high-end clubs and the trade even came with an invite to an exclusive country club in California. Needless to say, mizunos are the best irons in golf

If the majority of golfers weren't so hung up on distance, and put a premium on accuracy, I think you'd see more club like these in play. But most of the golfers I play with like to say they hit a 9 or 8 into a 150 pin with their modern strong lofted & forgiving clubs. I prefer to say...I'm closer with with my 1976 Wilson Staff 7 iron that goes sky high and basically stops where it lands. I currently use the MPh5 2-3i MP25 4i-pw. The JPX are not implementable. But if I wanted to add a true MP blade at 6 or 7-pw, and have the more user friendly MP's for long irons, could I? I always played 690 mb Titleist blades or an mp and I'll never forget moving to a cavity back and thinking how easy golf would be, haha! The dispersion was awful with a cavity -- flying greens etc and I quickly learned a bad shot is a bad shot no matter what type of iron you play. Don't believe the marketing bs. You miss a blade, you're ten yards short of the green. That's usually not a terrible place to be. But when your striking it good -- you're knocking down pins. Game Improvement Irons Suck!

I got fed up of shooting level par when not striking it so put some mp4s in the bag. I know I could knock 2 shots a round off with something more forgiving but I want to be punished when I don’t put a good swing on it. Cannot beat the feel when you flush a long iron with a blade.
