I have the pro225 irons. Prob won’t buy new clubs until I have to buy senior flex one day. Best irons I’ve ever owned.

MP54s here. When I swing bad, they still give me a little something… but when I swing correctly, they are excellent. I hit a 230 yard three iron off the tee on the 18th just two days ago, gentle draw, smack dab in the middle of the bend in the slight dogleg fairway. I then hit it again off the fairway, and laid up just short of the green on the 490 yard par 5. The rest of the round was mostly not great because I was tired and inconsistent, but to close with that birdie was awesome.

I had a set of them, beautiful clubs to look at and play. Swapped them out for some G430s and I wish I still had them 😢

Im still playing with Mizuno Wings from the early 90s along with their steel head persimmons woods. Wont ever trade them up.

Just give us the HM Pro with traditional lofts… 😊 Wow… what a good idea. I have the 921 HMP and I love them. They will stay in the bag the coming seasons… just good irons 👌🏻

Not everyone has the swing speed and launch conditions to play traditional lofts! Golf is a leisure sports, and the majority of golfer play only a few times a year. They need all the help and forgiveness they can get! I’m a 4 handicap, and I play forgiving GI irons! Why? Because I want to have FUN!

I still use the mizuno pro 225 play off 1.9 and did think about going full blade mizuno but I just love the forgiving 225

In my experience Hot Metal Pro are a great alternative to the Mizuno Pro models or previous Mizuno MPs. Look nice, great feel and very forgiving.

Great review Joe love your equipment reviews hope you will cover more brands. How forgiving did you find the Wilson Dynapwr forged compared to other players distance irons like P790 and game improvement irons. Many thanks Joe!

Can the 245s be ok for a high handicap player who isn’t so concerned with distance gains? I was recommended the jpx925s is my fitting yesterday, but I’m really drawn to the 245s. The I’m currently playing king cobra os from like ‘95, and the jpx 7i added about 15 yards and made me about 7yds less off line, BUT actually decreased my launch angle and backspin. It seems like the 245s are geared more towards spin and workability, and are lofted higher. From that spect they seem like an objectively better choice. I am taking lessons and practicing a lot, so I’m not too worried about forgiveness. I’m sure consistently good striking will come soon enough

Interesting review - what range is considered ‘mid-handicap’ & if I was looking to switch from Titleist T150, what is the Mizuno model I should be considering?

I tried t150 to big tried 243 no good either 245 feels horrible to me went back to original t100s leaning toward srixon new z7i coming in Jan

Go to a store and try them, nobody can tell you how they feel to you, you need to experience them for yourself.

I don’t pay attention to the handicap BS for a club! I’m a 4 handicap and play Apex DCBs, a GI club. It’s all about what works for you and what your launch conditions tell you to play! I hit the HM Pros the other day and LOVED them! Might be in my bag in the near future!

When reviewing the Pro 243, it said 245 on the screen.

Appreciate the overview but it doesn't address the key Mizuno "downside" (not): they last forever. I'm still doing well (from my perspective) with my 18+ year old MX-23's -- they fly straight and true, helped me to a 9 handicap, can't see the compelling need to drop $$$s on new irons from any maker.

Cheers Joe, I'm always a tad confused about where I fit into Mizuno's lineup. I'd be very useful to see a comparison to the previous iterations, and where each model is comparative. The snippet at the end was very interesting!

How could he or anyone else that knows nothing about how you play, the distances you hit your clubs, launch conditions, and your handicap answer that question?
@danielh40322 ай бұрын
Can’t see any difference between the 241 and my MP5s.
@DMKFACTOR2 ай бұрын
Only difference would be about 10 yards and a much more forgiving club face with the newer tech!

Pointless without numbers. I mean basically this was just a Mizuno commercial.

DTC is the way to go if you know your specs. Used is not as good of an option!
