Just curious but wouldn't the alessian order armor be better than the permafrost because it's not restricted to only whatever you get a damage Shield and it also whistle if I'm not mistaken one or two of the 159 Health recovery boost within its also got a sizable chunk of armor that it gives you

Thanks Hack. This is already my favourite build. I use Spinner's, Beekeeper's and Infernal Guardian on mine with no problems. BTW I like the fact that Infernal Guardian does damage when you have a damage shield up. Which it is, all the time. So I think that I will keep it is as it is.

Currently running this on my magsorc and can confirm this is by far one of my favourites. DPS isn't off the charts, but realize that's also not the point of the build, almost infinite resources, health never drops below half other than one shot mechanics, and went with the psijic ult + shield passive, throwing on hardened ward before blocking and heavy attacks don't even get through it making the 0 block mitigation from Gaze a non-issue. Great guide HTM. The only thing I can't figure out is the 6k Health Recovery, following everything piece by piece mine only sits around 4500 with a damage shield. Edit: Ahh figured it out, was looking at stats without Major Fortitude from health pots, Cheers

So I didn’t think the build would be that great but turned out it was really pretty amazing. That said, I do think there’s one thing that would be better. Seems like it’s be better to have a permanent frost lighting staff with a maelstroms staff. Because if you use a spinners,which is easier to get, the down side is you lose that penetration when heavy attacking with the maelstron staff. Versus the permafrost, which you can switch to the bar with the shield as a back bar. Otherwise, love this build. I had a fantastic tank build but I did spend the time to make this build because it did so well with solo contemt

Dude this is so fun. I don't have the Vet arena stuff yet but I got that set you make at the great forge. It's very good. The Orgrum's kicks in big time once you get bellow 50%. You get the health regin and physical and spell resist. it's pretty op. then you pop your shield. I win button really. I'm tanking hard world bosses solo. lol. Love your channel. I love theory crafting.

Instead of bewitched Sugar skulls I would recommend Corrupting Bloody Mara. It give more max Health, more max Magicka, and more Health Regen. It's also significantly cheaper. Only doesn't boost Stamina, but you aren't using it anyway.

I mixed this build with your "Insanely Powerful Solo Magicka Sorcerer Build" in my second bar. I can run to the ESO-World with no special gear or buff-food and make my grinding-day. With "your grind-spots", it is very easy to get more 'n' more XPs and CPs. With both builds i am a little star in dungeons and groups too. Thxal.

I have been running a couple heavy armor builds on my mag sorc lately. One is necropotence plus plague doctor with mighty chudan monster set. 40k mag 40k hp 20k stam. Clanfear heal is massive but really never need it unless I fall off a cliff lol

You could slot strategic reserved and get almost 7k with full ult point. I do that when I farm world bosses and even with dps gear and bewitch I got 3k health recovery, add that with crit surge and pale order, its insane passive health per second. The heavy armor can be nice but it takes away too much damage.

Great build, just finished farming Maelstrom Arena for those permafrost parts. It's an excellent solo WB killer, can kill any boss that doesn't have a strong heal, like Wuyuvus (Vvardenfell). DPS is a bit on the low side, but it's not horrible.

After a week of grinding, I finally got all the gear. After 2 weeks of grinding, I finally reached 50. My magika isn’t 40 (probably due to champion points), it is true you are pretty much indestructible which is such a great feeling BUT of course since it is a tank build, the damage you do isn’t great. I was solo’ing a world boss and was there hitting the same buttons for like 15 minutes and got him down to 66% health before giving up. To be fair though, I didn’t realise till right before I gave up that this boss heals himself. So probably was doing more damage than I knew, he was just healing. Got to a point where I’d get him to 60 then would go up to 66 and over and over. So good defence but offence, I know isn’t going to be amazing but still need to give a go on a normal boss. My companion kept dying 😂

it would recommend planing your builds with a companion for solo, if new toon and new to dw, just rush toward one of the companion first(Bastian is still imho stronger for heavy attacks builds because he has a direct buff to your weapon damage built in). I'd put Bastian with CDR, mage guild HoT and the light and heavy damage buff then afterward I don't know, not enough xp on the companions, those are the two that seem to work best with the build, it works on every weapon but requires mage guild lvl5 on basitian(or something like that) and a relatively high level(dunno if it's 16 or 20) on Bastian himself. As a personnal note, I think that heavy attacks suck hard solo, there is a kind of meta with major breach/resolve/brutality, remnant damage layers for pale order some AoE spammables and some single target. Going full tank heavy attack is more relaxed on single target BUT you farm way way slower and it is not that good against crowds where self heal would maintain top a non tank spec. Kind of noob trap going that route.

Awesome idea, especially love the tankiness of this build. Wouldn't the new Bog Raider set be even better instead of Perma Frost though? Don't need a spell shield to be active for it to work, and you get the additional 10 ulti every 10 secs it lasts. I'm definitely gonna try out this one and also one with the bog raider set. I personally wouldn’t recommend bloodthirsty for solo content, at least not 3 pieces. Bloodthirsty is more effective on enemies with much higher HP like in trial hardmodes. Think about going infused.

Or just like world boss battles etc. I have mostly all but nirnhorned researched on like 2 characters so its not a problem to craft sets. Hello Mr Hack, I found this build 3 hours ago and got it golden except jewelry. Still need 2 more leads for mythic item. I ran into an issue during the dungeon where as I was finishing the back bar rotation and switching to the front bar the ads just popped. I'm not even using your recommend cp points for extra heavy piercing. My damage participation was over 60% each fight with pug members over 1k cp while I'm still sitting in the mid 800. All 3 group members died at the last cradle boss and I had to finish by myself. I feel like these builds you're puting out are making players much more careless and honestly lazy. I can't imagine what I'll be doing when I get my crushing wall and mythic item.

I wouldn't use a penetration piece if you are already using elemental drain plus spinners - that will be overkill on some content like overland. Crit is slightly better than spell damage imo but they are certainly close.

Consider a tank block is 70% or so mitigation, absolutely not. 4k armor, 2k health and 1k health recovery is certainly not worth that. Honestly in this setup I question it's use as well - what if you do want to try to solo harder content where not blocking a boss attack would one shot you? I guess get good at dodge rolling.

Alcast's One Bar Sorcerer Build (Maelstrom & Vateshran) is a pure magicka build and uses light armor (Necropotence). They are a little different in approach and Alcast's Setup 1 also requires Ring of the Pale Order. I like and use both, and switch between them frequently.
