It seems like nobody ever wants to do world bosses so it's the only thing on my map completion that I never get to complete so I'm trying to find any kind of build that could solo world bosses. I wonder if this is still good for 2025?

I think this game still has something that makes it feel more like an RPG still than most mmorpgs. That's despite load screens etc, even if I think zones are big either way. I think if you love exploring and appreciating environmental detail, npc ambience etc, this game is actually very good. The weakness is definitely the melee combat especially, as well as character models badly needing an update. I think these things will be difficult for them but I hope they manage. Also I can't not say I'm not worried about seasons, because I am somebody that really hates when something becomes too systemic, which seasons nearly always will. But I won't leave a final judgment until it's here. The way it is now, I think only GW2 is a competitor in how friendly it is to getting in and out of the game once you've started.

I have 10,000 plus hours in this game. No dont waste your time with this glitchy broken pos. Especially dont waste your money on this game. Most cosmetics are glitchy, and the game usually wants you to spend about $25 and up everyday. I dont play alot anymore but trust me save your time there is way better games out there that are consumer friendly and player friendly. In 2025 its not worth investing your time into this game. Guarantee all of 2025 they wont do nothing with the game just like in 2nd half of necrom gaslighting the community like always but theyll fursure have New items you can buy $40 and up. In 2025 No you shouldnt play eso.

Stop playing two years ago. I played ESO with my wife from day one on. The game feels empty now. Only the last chapter seems to have players. Most of Tamriel is empty. They made the game to easy so that you don't need other players for anything enymore. Since the zones levels to your current level, it robbed the game of all sense of progression. I remember whwn you needed others to even just finish sky anchors. It was fun and you met people who were doing the same quests as you or the same public dungions. Now everyone just plays solo and it really sucks! Also combat is just so laggy and clunky. After playing other games I just can't get back into it. I have over 4000 hours in the game and I ahd amzing times in the game. But making the game to easy (for new player the claim...) made the game not rewarding and just booring. There is no sense of progression anymore. And housing is just not an endgame element worthy of my time....

The answer is YES. I enjoy this game since beta. If you don't enjoy playing it, simply don't play it and fuck off. 🙂 It is just a game, no need to ruin it for other people with your presence and negative opinion, if it is not for you. It is just as simple as that. There are many games to choose from, I am sure you can find others for yourself. ESO has had the most content update I have seen in a game, with tons of new content every year. I am an old Elder Scrolls enjoyer since Arena. And I will play this game every day, and if I will be the last one standing, I will switch off the lights when I leave. I invested an other 75 euros for crowns last week, not that I need the crowns for anything, but for rewarding the work they have done last year.

I almost purchased the Gold Road collection last night, but I'm still on the fence about it. I played this game for years after it was first released, but I felt as if my character hit a wall and could not become stronger, so I stopped playing. I still mat buy it before the sale ends

I'm currently playing ESO with my dad as he's a big TES fan but he didn't bother with ESO until Gold Road deluxe edition was on sale for something like £15 month or two ago. He's enjoying it and I'm having fun coming back to a game I last played during lockdown. I've also started WoW Classic, and I'm enjoying the slow, chill pace of that.

Weapon swapping isn't a turn off because of having to swap weapons. It's a turn off because all you're doing is swapping weapons to reapply buffs or debuffs. It just feels like an extra unnecessary keypress the vast majority of the time instead of an impactful swap. SOMETIMES you swap because you need range instead of melee, that always feels fine. GW2 has weapon swaps, very few people complain about that because there's a tangible impact in swapping weapons.

This! You’re so right. It never feels good swapping to backbar just to reapply DoTs. I like how weapon swapping works in poe2, where I swap weapons to change my weapon skills or to swap my stats from offense to recovery/healing

Short answer: No you shouldn't. This is by far the worst MMO I've ever played. Every system in it is extremely shallow, nothing is fleshed out. It's worse than every other MMO on the market, even those 10+ years older than it by a mile. If you want more action based combat play things like GW2, New World, Throne and Liberty and BDO. If you like tab targeting games go with WoW or FFXIV, if you like older games with more of a grind Lord of the Rings Online and FFXI are both better options than this. Don't waste your money here.

I have returned to the game recently, why It’s simple just enjoy playing it’s difficulty as an older gamer is just about right .I can play solo or group if I wish.I have the craft bag but as hack says you do not need it initially. I think if you played any previous Scrolls games and enjoyed them then once how you can go wrong . Bottom line it’s a good game and there’s been far too much negativity through the years,if it was that bad ESO would have faded into Oblivion 😂years ago.❤

No is not complicated. Devs milking it. Instead of upgrading servers and stop their **** antibot engine ruining Cyro, and actualy ban ppl who get reported for cheating /vith videos, they silence/ignore/ban the ppl who expose them, and remove all lines/sets/effects/ letting us play with only 3 class lines/ maybe they scrap even racial passives .... I spend a decade playing this game daily, lots of time and gold cooking builds and sets, and now what ? Im the same as the regular joe who log the game 1h per day/week ? Run before you invest your time and money. Dead project, incompetent dev team. I do like the pve changes they did, hats down, but speakin of pvp, they have ZERO idea what thei are doing. Heck, they dont even know the basics

I think it's better to play other elder scroll games before going to ESO. I played Skyrim, liked the lore, liked the elder scroll world, so I got into ESO for more lores, however dont expect ESO to just works like other elder scroll like Skyrim, it's a bit different. If you choose to go in: Start small and just explore. Disregard the ESO Plus, you're just a new player getting a feel for the game, ESO Plus is for advanced users. Do claim the ESO Plus trials that Bethesda give out sometimes, 7 days of 95% access to the game. The game mechanics is generally friendly, for a new player. The longer you play the game and seek out ways to become stronger the more you can do, naturally. Just relax and no rush, ESO is not a fast game.

Thank you for doing this video! I've been a long time player since the beta, even have my Monkey pet ;) You do some really awesome build crafting and I'd even bought the guide at one point. I will say ESO is in the best place it's ever been with all the changes over time. Class builds are awesome but I still would like to see more. The arcanist was incredible but it takes forever for them to release new ones. As far as the DLC's and add ons, I typically will run one character through one of them just to do story and typically then shelf the game til the next one. The daily stuff feels hollow and i loathe PVP, in fact with the last huge changes to PVP in battlegrounds our guild doesn't even touch it anymore. Cryodil is just a quick trip to check on the Golden weekly is about it. At any rate. I do enjoy the work you put in and the sharing of information! Incredible! Our guild is small and we meet once a week to run dungeons and possibly do the golden pursuit requirments. Fun stuff! Overall I'm torn somewhat as you've discussed, it's fun but something does feel fairly stale and doesn't keep my interest all that long. I do sub and like I said do once a week so getting my money's worth for sure! Cheaper than going to a movie! :) I did the quick math as was curious how much I've played, did the /play with each character... over 2200 hours. OK, I need a life! Hahhahaha.

Note on following the meta; I've been playing for like 9 years, and I'd say following the meta is only really 'required' if you are doing veteran trials. I've been non-meta and had no difficulty at all in any other content, including regular trials. (And even a very rare veteran trial.) It will definitely be interesting to see how ESO continues in the future. 10+ years is a LONG time for an MMO to survive. I trust ESO to continue fine. I'm honestly more interested in hearing about ZOSs next MMO. With who they've hired it looks like it could be what I always hoped Destiny 2 would be (a shooter that actually has regular MMO elements.)

13:44 I've been playing on and off since the beta, the combat is half way between action and tab targetting, light and heavy attacks attack in a cone in front of you instead of where the weapon is attacking, and most combat abilities require a target to activate, even if they are melee single target abilities.

I’m a collector so there is always something to do in this game, achievements, antiquities, furnishings and so on and so on, I’m tapping into the companions and it’s hella fun, wanna make a full tank companion so I can solo most of the content and after all these years I still have a fun and I’m NOT eso plus subscriber, although the inventory management is damaging my mental health from a time to time but it’s still manageable 😅 plus I love collect/craft new sets and trying funny build like my recent nightblade with sythis getting invisible after each kill. I enjoyed every TES game from Morrowind upwards and now I have them all in one, you can go to Cyrodil, Skyrim, Morrowind, Esweyr, Valenwood, Murkmire, Daggerfall, Alik’r, Orsinium (basically any race territory) plus new regions. There are pros and cons like everywhere but all in all it’s pretty enjoyable game.

The answer is No!: I just did, and they really have much to fix: combat animations are awful, questinf is EXTREMELY EASY unchallenging and not rewarding at all…and the graphics are just bad…. The story telling is good though… crafting is rewarding and theres is quite a lot of exploration… but the main thing: combat and leveling just feels bad

questing is either cheap and easy or impossible to solo on certain classes/skills. getting help/questing together needs to have the exact quests / phase or you won't interact with your friends aside areas without phase. it has tons of quest and content which is just "oh I died because.. loot my ... return it to.. thanks!!" only good is housing, you don't need a sub to be able to keep it(unlike FF14) and you don't need to buy it, wait for a free weekend to play it through steam or epic, get your own experience and judge through your own play

Personal opinion here but Im very tired of hearing the game being fully voice acted is a pro when the writing in the game often seems childish. Also Almost every npc follow the same formula of talking for exact two paragraphs before you can answer, which leads you to do something mundane. I dont mind mundane quests like fetch quests for example, but I do mind hearing a speech about how and why I should gather 5 wood to the lumberjack when it could easily been said in 2 or 3 sentences. Of course you can just skip the dialogue but then whats the point of having it fully voiced to begin with
