After 8 years of radon removal, my drill has touched a water supply line 2 times under the slab of a home. This is one of those instances. This is a reminder to never let your guard down -and pull back that drill when you feel an obstruction. Check it out!

I have a curb stop wrench in my van and hope I never need to use it. 😅 Here in Minnesota, the main city water supply typically runs from the curb stop in the front yard, under the footing in the front of the house near the sewer cleanout, and over to the water meter. We avoid drilling holes in those area. Great advice, Scott! Are you going to the radon symposium in October?

Hi Jessie! Indeed- on that curbstop wrench/ meter key. The irony is that sometimes we want to get near plumbing for those houses with poor gravel under the slab- but not THAT close. It is a dance we do, isn't it. I do not have plans for going to the radon symposium in October at this time. It would be cool to hang with you guys in person some day. 😀
