Always check sewing machine drawers! You never know what someone stashed in there. A lady on Antiques Roadshow brought in a $$$$ diamond ring found in the back of her grandmother's machine. I've found 14k and 18k jewelry stuck to more than one pincushion. Always check the buttons for bakelite and better. Bakelite buttons sell for real money on line and they're dead easy to ship. The good scissors live in sewing machines too; the machines may be difficult to shift (old crocks like me want them but can't lift them!) but a good scissor is an easy sale.

The sewing machine is attached to the cabinet with just two pins. It should just slide right off the pins. If the cabinet isn't good the sewing machine itself you could keep if it sews well or scrap if it doesn't. Vintage sewing stuff sometimes is a good seller on ebay. Especially like button hole attachments and rufflers. Old singer sewing machines that are all metal on the inside and not the newer plastic are desired by some sewers.

Never leave a sewing machine behind. Check on ebay for pricing and also there a several vintage sewing machine groups on Facebook. You could sell there. There is even an "underground" delivery system to get machines to customers. They don't make machines like the older models.

Sooo fun to watch and tag along. I love your decisiveness and knowledge of values. Isn’t it true that once people put their garbage in the street it becomes public property? Do you ever encounter people that are not happy with you for going through their stuff? I think it’s incredibly admirable that you are able to make a living doing this. You’re doing the environment a great service too! Thank you for some great videos. I really enjoy them not only because they make me smile but I learn a lot! Kind of off the topic but my Dad was born in 1923 and passed away in 1989. Although I’m probably old enough to be your grandmother, you remind me so much of what he must have been like as a kid! The physical resemblance is uncanny and seriously ......not laughing at you or disrespecting you in any way, but I laugh a lot when I watch your videos. Have a great day! ❤️

Wondering what to do with the chairs?....... Take them & remove the backs. Glue down some pillow stuffing, maybe from an old pillow or something you've salvaged & staple on a piece of fabric, faux leather, T-shirt, quilt or something & call them Stools. They will probably sell that way. Little effort with big results. :)
