I live in an independent living facility for seniors and quite often a resident will be leaving with no one to take charge of the furniture and other things in their apartment. If you have such a place in your area, you might leave your name and phone with the manager and you will clean out the apartment for what's in it.

Do you check the dehumidifiers to see if they are recalled? You can follow a disposal procedure and get reimbursed by the manufacturer if they are on the recall list.

I think I would have taken that wooden box. Dump out the rat droppings and fill it with any item suitable for flea market. I'll bet there are a lot of people who would like to have that box and would pay 10 or $15 for it

Nice dollhouse and the green drying rack, I think the little table that has pressboard and metal you might be able to sell it for at least $5 or more and I think you would get more doing that then to scrap it

by me, you can only scrap out dehumidifier parts if you have a license to work with refrigerants. Too many scrappers cutting the lines and venting the refrigerant without reclaiming made this requirement. If you bring a dehumidifier to a scrap dealer or the city and it still has refrigerant, they will charge you $25 each to take them to cover the cost of reclaiming the refrigerant.

Taco, those parts are called "capacitors" and not "capacitators". It's kind of intriguing why this person uses so many of them... Capacitors big like that are not used in general eletronic stuff like the ones we have at home, there must be some type of big or heavy-duty equipment...

why not get some of the rubber bungee cords like truck drivers use to hold tarps down on their trailer and bend the hook on one end so it stays in place and then leave the hook on the other end to strap big stuff against the wall like that drying rack
