Thank God someone at last promoting blush on apples of cheek - absolutely works for me despite years of influencers selling the sculptured look. Much more youthful look to face. I have a small face but the use of colour across the face enlightens everything. Thank you

Hey Gemma, Wow😮 that was a great tutorial! Im 62 so of course I want lift but I have very sculpted cheek bones and a longish face and you showed me how to fix all those things. I think this is my favorite video that you have done. I am partial to tutorials because there's not that many anymore.I had no idea blush could do all that. Thanks so much. God bless you and yours. I can't thank you enough for this video. I have a narrow, angular face, and I was applying my blush in the wrong area. I now know where and how to apply it to make my face look rounder. It really makes a big difference!
@josieking51946 ай бұрын
Me too! A small narrow angular face! It's frustrating because for the rounded cheek, there's only about 3/4 an inch in that magic spot where I can actually apply the blush

As I've aged, my temples are not as full as they used to be, so I have to be careful with my blush placement, ensuring I leave this area light, so as to make my temples appear fuller.

Oh my! I've been wearing my blush the second way all my adult life (and I'll be 60 this year). It's just how I "naturally blush," so I guess I figured it's how I looked more, well, natural. 🤷♀️ (I also don't have lovely cheekbones like yours, Gemma.) You look lovely both ways! ❤️🙂

Well, you are stunning. Just subscribed to your channel! One of the challenges I face ( no pun ), is some hollowing in the cheek area. I have to be careful, or it visually sinks that area even more. Love your tips. Would love to see you do these on an older model.

Finally someone says just because we age doesnt mean we must lift with blush, that its not the answer for everyone! As I'm getting older my face is becoming more defined and angular and frankly that lifting technique was in fact aging me even more so. I was starting to give up beloved blush and just using bronzer for at least some color because no matter how many people insisted I HAD to do it, I looked awful. Thanks for some alternate techniques, I'm going to use the apple technique with some eye lift. Thanks so much Gemma you're a legend!!! ❤

I’m in my late 50’s now. I can remember playing around with my blush application when I was a teenager- bringing it up my temples, putting it on my nose like you are showing. ( Perhaps I was following Teen magazine instructions) For some reason, when all this bronzing/contouring became popular, I tried to do that and forgot about the blush tricks I did when I was younger. I went looking for blush application tricks today because I just don’t like my blush placement on my face. The idea of adding powder on top of the dewy foundation to help the blush not look like it’s in a line because the foundation grabs it… that’s exactly what was happening! I appreciate your help.

Definitely trying the higher placement for dark circles. I always have that circular “zone of perfection” around my eyes from full coverage concealer and there’s a line of demarcation between that and the “ridge” of my cheekbone. Hard to explain but it makes blending that area tougher.

Thank you so much! I requested this video and I really appreciate this masterclass Gemma! Very helpful, Gemma. Thank you. Blush placement is a daily challenge for me. I've tried several placements. At 74, the apples of my cheeks seem to be between my nose and upper lip now. 🥴 If it weren't true it would be funny!! 😉 With bangs/fringe I'd skip blush swept up the outer portion of my eye. It wouldn't be seen. I'm going to try the 2 finger method again. I remember a previous video of yours talking about that method. 👍🏻
