FYI guys Anfield has been around since 1884 when Everton was playing there, the owner of Anfield and Everton had a falling out which led Everton to their home Goodison Park and it also meant that the owner of Anfield John Houlding then formed Liverpool FC in 1892. For along time the capacity was 45,362 with the new upgrade giving an additional 8000+ seats.

Really interesting to see you cover the "proper" football. Brighton & Hove Albion's stadium is basically the reason why they are now playing in the Premier League(top league). The additional revenue from non match day usage helped Brighton have one of the best budgets and squads in the championship(second division). Brighton & Hove Albion very nearly went out of business a few years ago, they had to play in a town 70 miles away because the owners had to sell the ground to try and pay off some of the debts, but we're doing so with no other plans for where the team would play once the ground was sold. I'mIn 1997 a young fan from my local team(Plymouth Argyle) came up with the idea of what he called "fans united", the idea was that football fans around the country would unite together and go to watch Brighton & Hove Albion home match vs Hartlepool United in February 1997. Around 5,000 fans from teams throughout England and Wales attended to show solidarity with the Brighton & Hove Albion fans protests against the action of the board. Needless to say, Brighton & Hove Albion were able to turn things around and are now playing in the Premier league(top division). Final point of note, in 2011 my local team Plymouth Argyle found themselves in the same perilous position that Brighton & Hove Albion had found themselves in 17 years previously. Without hesitation Brighton & Hove Albion fans began organising what would be called "fans reunited" and this time fans would be attending a match at Plymouths ground Home Park. On the day several thousand Brighton & Hove Albion fans as well as thousands of fans from throughout England and Wales attended the game against Macclesfield Town. Brighton & Hove Albion fans then went above and beyond by organising what they called "go green" day where fans attending their televised game vs Leeds United wore green shirts(green is Plymouth Argyle's home colour) to show solidarity with the plight that Plymouth Argyle and the supporters going through, many staff members had been sacked, players went several months without being played and the money raised by Brigthton & Hove Albion fans at this game helped ensure that the Plymouth Argyle players could be paid some of their wages, which ultimately stopped the club going out of business. For that reason alone I have a soft spot for Brighton & Hove Albion fans now and really hope they stay in the Premier League for many seasons to come :)

Liverpool FC ground, Anfield, the place where the magic happens. If you talk to most football fans, worldwide, and ask which stadium gives a team the most advantage? The answer will be Anfield. So many impossible things have happened there. Most recently beating Barcelona by 4 goals to nil after losing away 3 goals to nil in the first leg of the semi final of the Champions League. Have a little search on KZbin. Search for Liverpool fans sing You'll Never Walk Alone. It's one of the greatest things in the world to hear the fans celebrating. Pink Floyd included the Kop (Liverpool fans) singing You'll Never Walk Alone at the end of their song Fearless. It's the greatest sound in football. It's the greatest sound in sport bar none.

@mikespearwood39146 жыл бұрын
hey Tim, how many Anglo-Canadians have you heard named "Pierre"? Like the guy said: "Steve" , or maybe Dave or Mike would be more logical. If you specifically said "Quebec", then that would've made sense. If I called you "Tyrone" as a stereotypical American what would you say? You would probably say "Hey Mike, that name is only prevalent in the African-American community: rarely any white, or other non-black communities use that name." and I would respond "fair point Tim!" Instead of being butthurt, just concede you didn't really think it through!

Mike Spearwood buddy I’m not trying to argue, I’m just stating my opinion, I don’t need a geography lesson haha, everyone thinks differently. For example, in the video he said Nigel as his stereotypical British name, I’d bet that Nigel is far from a popular name in England, maybe reserved for extremely wealthy older people. It’s just his thought on what a stereotypical name would be... we all have different opinions so i don’t see your point on trying to tell me that mine is wrong?
