Good job; the most thorough explanatory tutorial yet.

Cool video. First time seeing details of the cargo system in DCS. I suppose the C-130 in development will use this same system? And I sure hope they’ll include the Huey soon. Although, the Huey won’t tank pallets! Would have to be hand-loaded crates and boxes. Will AI aircraft be able to haul cargo’s? So, a scenario on a server…(does this work in MP mode?)…might be to use the CH-47 to keep bringing artillery shells to a fire base while other players act as forward ground units to call in artillery fire (using a mod). …maybe?

Thanks! Unfortunately, the feature is too new to know for sure how we can leverage it in missions, and how it will work with other modules. From what I can see, it does work in MP, but again, not sure what we can do with it yet.

The DCS logistics systems are progressing! Wonder if it will make CTLD obsolete over time?

Be interesting to see how this plays out. Can't help but wonder if this will be a piece of the dynamic campaign too?

So what happens with crates that are dropped off at the bases? Do they automatically add to the supply of the base and the crate just stays there or do they need to be "stored" at the base somehow after delivery?
@DieselThunderAviation4 ай бұрын
I'm not sure if it does. When I dropped off that one crate, the warehouse of Creech was "full" as nothing had been taken from it. I'm going to experiment with it more and see what happens. ED hasn't quite explained how we can leverage this for mission yet.

Nice, thanks. But one thing. I know, it's early access and it's just a visual thing, but why is the door sinking into the ground when opening!? Such obvious things hurt a bit. And thanks for switching off the master caution which Wags did not in his videos 😀

My pleasure. I noticed that too and made a post in the bug reports. It’s a known issue that should get fixed at some point.

@@DieselThunderAviation just watched your livestream video, looked like it's not happening everywhere. Looked okay during unloading on that island. I guess, these are the worst bugs for devs to fix, when they are not always reproducible. How is it PC performance wise lets say compared to the Phantom?
@DieselThunderAviation4 ай бұрын
I'm probably not the best to ask about performance, since my PC is pretty powerful. Chinook loads fairly quickly, the Phantom takes a bit longer but is noticeable.

Does the cargo go into the warehouse of where you drop it off? Or is it just for show and will require scripting to get it into the warehouse?
@DieselThunderAviation4 ай бұрын
Not sure. ED hasn't explained how we can work with this in missions yet.

So you can name the cargo boxes the airfield you are delivering to.
@DieselThunderAviation4 ай бұрын
Sure can! That's a pretty nice feature with this new system so you don't get them mixed up.

can you still try this for 10 days before you buy it. nice video
@jr0815_aka_gulredrel4 ай бұрын
@@KENNYB322 Trial option is normally not for newer modules. It's available for Apache, but not Chinook. Don't know after which time this will change.

Lol! Spent a fair amount of time in the Hip whenever we ran Foothold or Pretense doing cargo runs. Fighters win battles, but logistics wins wars!
