This was so confusing for me. I thought when you are the gunner and hold up long, the ai would align the nose aimer at that area where you were aiming. Instead: he aims at the sky. Once I discovered this, I was able to be able to fire my missiles. Just point in an area, find your target: hold up long, aim for the sky and fire into the clouds, then whip the viewfinder down to where you held up long (where the target was at) and the missild will zip bellow and hit the mark.

On Cold War server it might help to transport troops to capture airfields? But I agree, the Apache (provided previous sims like Jane's Longbow got it right) would be quite superior. Then again, the Apache is not heavily armored and might be shot down more easily. The Hind is a flying tank.

Nah... the hind is becoming my favorite module over all, I'm not sure that the apache can beat it that easily in my personal ranking list. shittier avionics=more fun (that's my idea). and not forget about: door gunner, R-60 air to air missles, passengers/cargos load and most important... petrovich russian voice 🤤

not sure if its just me, but my sight is completely fucked up. most time i cannot move it at all, i cannot center it at all, and the -6 to +6 scale seems to be unsynced to where the helo is actually pointing. i tried to look straight forward, but i couldnt, because i was on -6 and i was in the gymbal limits. and if the sight scale says +0, where i should look straight forward, i am actually looking 90 degrees to the right?! so weird. didnt had much fun today while tryin that with my mate.

How long you press those buttons for. If you tap the button it is short, if you hold it for a second or two it is long.

Very annoying, that we get this garbage, but not the AH-64 Apache! I flew this in RL... Not that great, but firing the weapons and turning terrorists into pink mist was pretty satisfying! I give the hind a 7/10.

To each their own. I have zero interest in learning the Apache's systems. I personally find the older technologies far more enjoyable to play with, where I find the fly by wire technologies a snooze fest. Apache will take a few years like the f-16, f-18 to even be properly implemented.

Agreed. Hell, even just a newer version of the Mi-24 with better FCS (auto tracking, anybody?) would be miles better. I've no intention to buy this module because the Shturm sight as-implemented will be a full on nausea fest in VR. I'll stick with the Ka-50.
