I think a good episode topic could be, like what Justin was talking about with SamSho, 'Fighting Games Becoming Non-Fighting Games'. You can talk about franchises that have had non-fighting spin-offs (like MK: Shaolin Monks), and any ideas you guys have for currently dormant franchises to spin into other genres in order to live on. For example, I'd love a DMC style Darkstalkers game where we play as Donovan.

I wonder how far you could move a fighting game setting away from a fighting game and make it feel right. Brawlers, character action, and musou feel like the brothers of the fighter so that's a given. You could turn SamSho into a strategy game, but that's just "everything Koei made for the SNES". RPGs would be like Shenmue, it was meant to be VF the RPG after all. I guess KoF has that weird survival horror spinoff with Athena that GWQ did a vid on.

The talk about mods reminds me of the modding scene for the Tekken 6 PSP game where they essentially turned the game into Tekken 7, including all the outfits and new characters, and are currently working on a Tekken 8 mod as well, and it looks incredible

The cast of Triple KO looks back at the cool fighting games of 2024 as they get ready for the next round for 2025.

1:00:56 This is also the period of peak Street Fighter snobbery where a significant portion of the FGC would only play SF. This changed after SF5 and it's good that the love is spread out more evenly among different games and it's good to see different communities supporting each other

I know this is the fighting game podcast, but I'd like to see an episode eventually which focuses on some favorite non-fighting games. I'd be especially interested in what Justin likes

My guess would be tons of gatcha stuff. I think he's talked about it before, but I can't remember which ones they were.

Place your bets, will Matt go back to Mortal MUGEN after talking to Ketchup, or will he continue with that giant SFII one with at least 3 Amiga fighters in it? I hope the latter, he must experience Body Blows Galactic.

You guys should make a video on ranking what type of fighting games are harder to play, 3D, 2D, platforms etc.

How about a video on either your personal fighting game hot takes OR ask the audience what their hot takes are and discuss them on here
