Scott, I swear to god, these videos give me so much second hand nostalgia. I can remember making my own brand of sorts just like you did, "IdeasErik" then "ErikNation", etc., and making silly little Flash Games by repeatedly typing in Google "EASY HOW TO MAKE GAME NO CODE" on Google in 2007, making my own comics and printing them out or just drawing them on hand, eventually making a series of personal videos and sketches similar to Wozniak News. It's so weird seeing other people's """cringey""" middle school creative projects and remembering your own as well, it's honestly fascinating. Cheers to you, keep up the good work!

This brings me back to when I used to make my own comic book characters. I was really into Captain Underpants and related to George and Harold because they drew and I drew, so I started making my own heroes, like a super donkey and guy named “Ben”. And each hero I made was basically in their own universe, and I remember making a comic that was essentially a crossover. Cool to see a lot of people had this “creative itch” when they were little.
@itryan99623 жыл бұрын
omg, i also loved captain underpants growing up. so much so that i made my own comic series [that is sadly to this day lost] about a toad and a tubba's heart lookin' shit goin' on misadventures and the first comic was a parody on the first ever book! and the second introduced what is essentially, my self-insert of which gone on to become the main character of a second comic series, Ryan's Life! altho i do still have a few, they're largely unfinished, as i just give up the moment they began. said character would become they're own character, named Foxan. and two years ago my self-insert was rebooted to become simply, ryan c., as i began to reboot ryan's life from a spinoff of the toad series [of which is named the amazing toad btw] into it's own, completely different beast, of which is where the character in my pfp originates from. i still have yet to start it, however, as im still in the process of making characters for it, but so far, i've gotten the main cast down. anyway, sorry for rambling, im just so passionate for this kinda stuff. it's cool that scott still has his old stuff tho, altho i've largely lost most of my childhood material, it'd be cool if i did find it, however.

I used to make one page comics in sixth grade. I called them "The Amazing Advertures Of Jimmy" I cant remember what they were like but I'm assuming they were bad, but I was proud of them damn it. Most of them were made on colored pieces of paper but I also made some of them on sticky notes and I would stick them to the wall next to the sink, so that whenever a classmate would walk over to use it, they could look to the left and read a few comics. My friend Charlie started to make little comics like I was and we had a blast...after sixth grade my parents threw out all my comics without even telling me...

4:12 So our class makes a lot of iMovies and it's SO OBVIOUS! Not knowing about kens burns and leaving it on every picture, using the generic transitions that both cut of important information and drone it out due to them KEEPING THE SOUND EFFECTS ON, and always having a blooper reel at the end that's at least 1/4 of the length. Oh, and they use the built in text options, (which you can't change the color of so it's always white) ON WHITE PICTURES. Luckily over time I learned what not to do as well as a few really dumb workarounds (like screen recording a picture in the camera so you can see the whole thing without stupid kens burns, which doesn't let you zoom out when you turn it off) and also learned about keynote, which I used to make a bear run over a friend for a vaccine commercial.
