Looking back at Where we Started The Rescue Journey

Welcome to the next chapter at the farm. We’re excited. Today is the first day on this next journey and to start it off we’re looking back at where we began with the original shelter dogs that came to the farm almost 12 months ago now.
We will be posting all our usual daily videos here plus these extra special ones that Luke’s brother Ben has kindly made for us, going back through more than 15,000 videos we’ve collected over the years. Stories of the wonderful rescue dogs and stories of many of the incredible farm dogs we’ve all loved and continue to love at The Farm.

Didn't think watching this, again, sort of, would be so emotional.... But here I am crying.... Thank you guys sooooo much...... 73 dogs! 73 that got to live because of you guys (and I mean everyone who contributed in any way whatsoever), 73 dogs that became family members and are doing nothing but bringing unconditional love and joy to their furever families...... It's why adopt don't shop means so much to me... It's not just a slogan, it's saving dogs and cats, for one dog/cat being adopted at least 2 lives are saved..... We as a society did this, the least we can do is fix it... Even in small ways.... Spay and neuter, chip, and adopt!!!! This proves shelter dogs are just as good as "pure breeds" that people pay thousands for....... Thank you so very much for taking this on.... Rescue organizations and shelters need all the help they can get, so I'm totally here for it!!!!! Not all heros wear capes, and everyone who has helped these 73 dogs, you all are heros..... To them the most...... Much love from Alabama, USA..... " you may not be changing the world, but that animal you are changing their world".....

Who knew Covid restrictions would be a blessing in disguise for the shelter dogs?

For the shelter dogs, Luke and Sam have started efforts to give some of them training and involve day care dogs activities. In returns, they are trained to trust human and generate social skill. In the meantime, they gained more chance to be adopted. I believe that Luke makes a right direction to help more shelter dogs under a limited manpower and resources. Please accept my respect for all your contributions. Thank you.

What a wonderful video. So glad you added the part where Sam was crying because she did not want YoYo to go back to the shelter. Good for you Sam. I started crying myself watching her. You guys are God's gift to dogs. You may have never started saving these dogs at shelters if it wasn't for Covid. So one good thing came out of Covid after all. So glad Ben is creating these videos of the past. Thanks Ben. You've made a lot of people happy with this video. Looking forward to seeing more.

Really great compilation of the start of helping in need dogs. Had a few tears. Well-maybe a lot of tears. Brought back such sweet memories. I do miss seeing Bobby on Instagram but understand it was a lot of work for the new owners. I’m sure it can be overwhelming. Was very nice they shared as much as they did. Lovely to have seen Lucy do so well with Adam. And YoYo, Freddo, Conrad, Django, and Buddy back at the Farm. What you did is nothing short of amazing. Really looking forward to this next chapter. I’ve watched so many of these videos time and again and yet this video started the waterworks. I’m so grateful for all the time, effort and love all of you have put into making the difference in all these dogs’ lives and bringing them to the point that they are not just well socialised dogs but are giving back in being wonderful therapy dogs and great with security and looking after the family. 🐾🐾💕💕

Sam breaking down during Yo-yo’s bath is one of my favorites. It is no surprise the decision to go full time shelter dog rescue and rehabilitation. It was obvious that maintaining day care had become very difficult. Best wishes for you all.

And now, end may 2023, this incredible concept is in need of help. The Evanses are doing such wonderful work, despite pressure and setbacks they have worked very hard and diligently. They deserve so much more - not only are they giving unwanted dogs the opportunity to become valuable and welcome members of a family, they also provide entertainment and fun by letting the audience experience life on an Australian farm geared to help ill-treated dogs. Time seems to have flown, twelve months and so much has been done and accomplished. Seeing some of the dogs that have come through, remembering what the first moments for them at the farm, tears of joy. We still see some of the first group now and know how great they are, Yo Yo, Conrad, Lucy, Freddo, hoping all the others are continuing to flourish. 💓 what The Farm is all about, previously and going forward🐕👏💯
