I was there. They left us for dead. Free water had visible feces in it. People were passing out with heat stroke, their family members and friends asking for water to help them and vendors demanded $5 or more for water.

94 and 99…I went to both and both shows, we turned on the venues because the vendors left their posts and people were sick of prices, and portspottys were all filled to top…sometimes with trash. The sewage @ 94 created rivers of poop & pee because the rains. It was misery @ 94 after the rains….in 99 it just felt right to turn against the venue. The promoters must have known it would happen again…just nothing to do about it, when you overcharge for necessities and only one nearby package store.

I'd hate to see what you'd do at a current festival.

@@Getovayaselfi was at '99 and was the first person to break into a trailer to get water for people that were suffering heat stroke (myself included). I had bits of the wall that i tore down. Nowadays i do security at festivals and hold ceremonies and serve sacred medicine. So, shove your judgemental comment and direct it towards the capitalistic promoters, not us victims.

@@ashleygallegos3336Search KZbin for this video: “Justin Bailey Woodstock 99 day one my experience.” SO WORTH THE WATCH! It’s an amazing telling of his time there, you will feel like you went after watching. There’s 2, maybe 3 parts but they will fly by. Thank me later, I’m gonna go to watch it again now that your comment reminded me of it. 😊. This will be the closest you’ll ever get to being there. Also, I’m gonna assume you saw the documentary… it was on hbo plus (not sure if it still is) and it’s called “Woodstock 99: peace, love, and rage”but if you haven’t seen that then watch it asap too.
